Author, Wana Duhart's case study explains Sarah Palins appeal among Conservatives and Republicans.
The contention among the Republican candidates continues to rise as they fight to position themselves as the true front runner. Although Mitt Romney continues to hold a lead over Rick Santorum, according to Public Policy Polling, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin remains the favorite among Republican Party voters. "People, Politics, and Profits: The Ties that Bind Main Street, the Beltway, and Wall Street," an essay written by Wana L. Duhart, provides a case study that explains the emergence and appeal of Sarah Palin and why she remains relevant today.
Sarah Palins appeal, according to Duhart, exposes Beltway elitism and condescension. She goes on to explain that the misconceptions held by elitist factions, regarding their perceived authority to make decisions about the lives of everyday Americans, further substantiate Palins appeal to regular folks and ordinary people. The media establishment is quite frankly scared to death of her and doesnt know what to make of this woman who hails from the great state of Alaska, our last frontier, says Duhart.
The heart of People, Politics, and Profits underscores what she considers the genius of Palin, as she provides a comprehensive look at how the very elitism that is antithetical to Palin's appeal, is the same elitist tendency that is directly and indirectly responsible for wreaking havoc on the lives of many Americans. In her section on Main Street, she examines some of the macro and micro changes that have been devastating for families and the American economy. In Class Warfare: The Elephant in the Room, the author gives voice to a disturbing undercurrent that should be taken seriously by people across income classes and the political spectrum.
The discussions about The Beltway and Wall Street draw the reader back to why Sarah Palin continues to resonate with everyday people -- hardworking Americans reject the strong influence and authority of these powerful and wealthy elitists. As she describes some of the familiar habits and practices of Washington politicians and Wall Street financiers, she reminds us all of how interconnected and dependent they are on each other. Deaf Ears and Blinded Eyes: Hypocritical and Schizophrenic Elected Officials just might make you scream or holler, as Duhart talks about the cozy and conflicting relationships between the Beltway and Wall Street.

Amazing that republicans do not want a conservative..
Unless theres serious hanky panky with the voting machines..
WoW.. theres a concept for you.. could explain a lot..
Your tagline says it all. You know, I don’t believe I even KNOW any Republicans any more. The Party has shrunk to among only those currently in office, or trying to get there.
Although, the story makes me wonder. After all, when you are out of sight, politicians poll numbers always seem to rise.
Look at Hitlery. The quieter Hillary is, and out of sight and mind, the better her polls. Let Hillary open her mouth and we see her poll numbers fall like a rock.
Unfortunately, unless you actually follow Sarah on her own media, or still watch FAUX, I don’t really think I see where the democrats, or RINOS, are concerned with her at all now, either one way or the other. I watch GRETA once in a great while, but that’s it, so I don’t even know if Sarah is still regularly appearing.
Belly button lint is more popular than any of the Republican candidates,
She is only 48 years old, for goodness sake.
While he will most likely be the republican nominee, he has absolutely no chance of beating Obama in the general election.
I have my Palin cap it took me two hours to remove McMcain from it.
BTTT.
She sure out smarted all of them, including the makers of “HBO’s Game Change.”
I wonder how much Wana L. Duhart paid PRNewsWeb for this blurb about her book and her company?
It won’t happen in the delegate count. It will happen at the Convention. Santorum is not ready to lead this nation and Romney can’t pull it together before the Convention. Neither have a National campaign to pull this nation together. If the Republican establishment thinks we are all going to roll over and support Romney, they are dead wrong. At some point, someone needs to tell Romney he has lost this nominee battle, but he has too much invested this time around to drop out. If Santorum drops out, I believe he will support Romney for the VP slot, as he was a traitor last time around, and I see no evidence that he would not do it again. Maybe, just maybe, he could be convinced to throw his support to Mr. Newt, but I would not hold my breath on that one. Santorum is an opportunist and will bale on conservatism and go with Romney for the VP slot.
Mr. Newt is too smart to choose Santorum as a VP running mate. Who could trust him? There are some evangelical conservatives that simply will not support Romney due to the Mormon religion. I know that no one wants to bring that up, but it is out there.
Mr. Newt is the only qualified Conservative to bring this country back from the brink of self-destruction.
She would have walked away with the nomination, had she run, and would have crushed Obama in the general. That is simply a fact.
I will always see her decision not to run in 2012, as one of the key turning points in this nation's history. Because of that decision, we are now walking forward into a very dark time, which by all rights, should have been much, much brighter.
I don't have the link handy, but Newt famously came to her defense in a statement just last year, as I recall.
By the time she's 52, this country could be so far down the crapper, that nothing she could do would help save it.
THIS was her moment - AMERICA's moment, and she let it go by.
She was waaaaay more popular, than any currently running Pubbie candidate at CPAC and...she isn’t even running!
I was actually sitting at lunch with 4 women with advanced degrees in technical subjects listening to them talking about “Game Change” as if it contained even a vague semblance of truth.
They’re well and truly brain washed out here on the east Coast Cambridge area.
Palin would have found a lot of support here had she entered the race. However, since she decided she’d rather be a talking head, her “popularity” is hardly relevant to votes on the ground.
Not gonna happen. If we get the "brokered convention" the media has been drooling over for months now, it'll be Romney vs Obozo. The conventions of both parties are totally rigged in favor of the establishment.
Plenty of time for the GOP to come back in 2016 after Obama wins in a landslide (Romney couldn't even win against Biden).
