Rick Santorum's latest attempt to use a Mitt Romney aide's "Etch-A-Sketch" remark against the Republican front-runner instead gave his rival a chance to fire back on Thursday, after Santorum seemed to say he'd rather see President Obama reelected than send Romney to the White House.
Speaking at an event in Texas, Santorum again made the case that Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom's comments Wednesday on CNN about a "reset" of the campaign if Romney clinched the nomination showed the former Massachusetts governor's efforts to appeal to conservatives were insincere.
"You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who's just going to be a little different than the person in there," Santorum told a crowd in San Antonio, according to NBC News. "If you're going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch-A-Sketch candidate of the future."

That post is absolutely correct. If Romney is the nominee, it’s in conservatives’ best interests to let Barry have a pyrrhic victory. He might win the battle, but him and the libs will most definitely lose the war.

Obama is crushing America under a mountain of debt, a sea of socialism, an Ocean of China products , marxist supreme court justices, hundreds of liberal judges, a horde of illegals and a thousand other crimes . it will only increase this in its second term.

I’m afraid I can no longer vote for a RINO. I’ll vote straight-ticket Republican, though. Just that, at the top, I’ll write in my favorite, whether it be Palin or Santorum.
Santorum has said many times during the debate that anyone of the Republican pics would be better than Obama. The hypocrisy is rich. Santorum is compared to a big government spender, and Romney and Gingrich who supported the individual mandate, endorsed global warming and cap and trade are viewed as conservatives. It is on THESE issues that Santorum has called Romney on the mat and states that there isn’t much to choose between Obama, and the rest of the field.
You have to remember Bush, Sr. fired everybody in the Reagan White House after he was elected. Romney will not be asking Newt to work with him. Romney is the bluest of the blue blood Republicans. A grass-roots conservative reformer of middle class origin like Newt is anathema to him. There is nothing in Romney’s real agenda that has anything in common with Newt’s. It’s more likely they’d be in direct conflict with each other.
He just energized Obama’s base.
***Wrong. It was one of Romney’s advisors who came up with the Etch-a-Sketch remark. It has energized the ABR base, and notably the Santorum crowd more than the Gingrich crowd.

At this point, there’s about a 99% possibility RMoney is going to be the nominee. So 2012 is going to be a liberal vs. a liberal. Sure, Slick Willard might be a little less offensive of a liberal than Hussein, but at the end of the day he’s still a liberal. So if hypothetically conservatives try to drag him across the finish line, we’ll have a liberal for 4 years. Then in 2016, the Dems will obviously nominate another liberal, so it would be liberal vs. liberal AGAIN.
I’d rather have a liberal now and get a true conservative in 2016 then two liberals in a row, even if they do have an (R) next to their name!
I believe that if Jimmy Carter wasn’t such a disaster, we never would have gotten Reagan.....and I believe we have the closest thing to Reagan, in the form of Scott Walker.
It might a toss-up, but I see more to lose over the next 8 to 16 years if Romney wins than if Obama wins. I would never add to Obama’s mandate by voting for him but I may write in Newt. I’m definitely going to see if Obamacare is overturned by the Supreme Court first. If it is not, then it makes harder not to vote for Romney in the hopes that he will at least follow through on overturning that or be pushed there by the Congress. That is the issue that can do the most damage to the country if it’s allowed to stay in place another 4 years. If it is overturned, then gridlock might be tolerable and we might be able to repair most of the other damage done by winning with a conservative in 2016.
What Santorum did tonight, has given Obama’s base and operatives so much gold. They are energized as well.
I know it is monster, as it is and as most democrats especially those in the media are.

Usurping the Constitution, Using the EPA , FCC etc to bypass congress, Censoring the Internet with ACTA.
Not to mention increasing government size and power, and exploding debt by 5 trillion $ so that will ensure a U.S. collapse. A country must collapse under a sea of debt this traitor has burdened us with.
Also it has let in illegals , sent our factories to china, and a million other crimes. It hates America and wants America destroyed so it lets in illegals and has it's "free trade" to destroy the U.S. border.Obama will only increase this in its 2nd term.

So, how do we know who is energized and who isn’t? I have no idea how to check if zer0bama’s base is energized, and I’d need to take a shower afterwards if I did know.
