Just a quick note (appropriately short given that the subject is Twitter). Our johnkerry.com community has been ahead of the technological curve in a lot of ways; 3 million people strong, we've banded together online to do everything from raising money to help tsunami victims and fight cancer, to electing veterans and fighting disgusting smears against Barack Obama in 2008.
Technology has continued to be the tip of the spear in so many ways when it comes to organizing -- and now a lot of that is happening in real time on Twitter. So, please sign up to follow me on Twitter on @JohnKerry.
It's a chance to have honest and open-ended conversations on everything from politics to the Senate and, yes, occasionally New England sports.
And hey, it's a rare chance to see a United States Senator struggle to express those thoughts in 140 characters or less!

Why the long face?
He went to Vietnam because he was too chicken to run off to Canada (not enough rich women for him to marry). Did he fight? Only in his home movies...otherwise he skipped out on his buddies when the real shooting started. After he awarded himself three medals he came home to slander the military and then aided and abetted the enemy. His is still doing that in the Senate.

One of his Purple Hearts was for an injury sustained when a grain of rice pierced his elbow skin. I’m not making this up.

Sounds to me as if Kerry’s Silver Star has about the same cachet as LBJ’s.
John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Joseph Kennedy, Barney Frank, the entire contingent of the federal House of Reps from Ma.. What other proof does one need that Massachusetts is inhabited by assholes and that liberalism is a mental illness. The overwhelming action taken by Kerry that points to his character was having a fire hydrant moved in Louisberg Square. He’s lower than whalesh.t.

Once Kerry had his three Purple Hearts he bailed out of Vietnam after four whole months. Navy regulation, IIRC
