Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley (R) voted Tuesday morning for Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator’s campaign announced via Twitter.

“Honored to learn this morning on @rickandbubba that AL Gov. @GovernorBentley cast his vote for me and joined the fight!” @RickSantorum tweeted, referring to the popular “Rick and Bubba” radio show.

I think you are forgetting the first rule of both liberals and conservatives. Libs must hide who they are, and conservatives must show honestly who they are, to be liked.

At the debate, Obama will be feigning and slick talking, but Santorum will be speaking our values unabashedly. He won’t be trying to pretend “I’m not a Real [read racist and mean] Conservative, I’m Compassionate” or other BS. He will be proudly explaining why conservative constitutional principles are best for Americans all together. Obama will be trying to Alinsky and divide us.

Conservatism, true unabashed conservatism, wins every time it’s tried.

Do the math. As long as these two split the public vote, Romney takes a majority of the delegates. It is time for Newt to bow out and let Rick consolodate the popular vote and start taking the lion share of the delegate votes.

I watched the clip. Whew! You had me scared there for a minute. I thought it was something really bad. That was a bigger “bust” than Sean Hannity’s big expose’ of the Obama/Professor Bell video.

Newt was just saying: The Reagan years were good but, people now need a change. The fickle American public likes “new”. This is not an indictment against Newt, IMO.

Nice try; now have a nice day.

I’d rather see a brokered convention.

Big difference. SHE is not running for President. HE is. Go ahead with the personal attacks if you want on non-combatants. I shall continue to like “Newt Gingrich Raw” tapes here is often and is much detail and frequency as I choose to do so, for educational and discussion purposes. Donchya just love Free Republic? If we split the vote much longer that isn’t going to happen either. Myth RomKnees is not inevitable by a long shot but he is steadily gaining the delegates he needs to shut down the possibility of a brokered convention.

To make a brokered convention, Gingrich must drop out soon.

Newt was indeed great last night. But he never seems to fight back when directly confronted. When Romney kept saying Newt was driven from office in disgrace, Newt said nothing. When pinned down on the individual mandate, he chuckled. On the bailout, no defense.

If that’s his weak spot it’s a hell of a hole. Obama will figure that out and pounce in no time.

You've got to be kidding...Santorum spent the first 7 debates in an "I'm-more-conservative-than-you-are" cat fight with Mitt Romney.

I'm not saying anything is basically wrong with Santorum, I just don't think he will beat obama...bottom line, period, and that's all folks.

And I’ll be there to call you out for how out of context, out of date, out of proportion they all are.

I’ll be there to point out that all of it is opinion and none of it is action. I’ll be there to point out that when you have an intellect like Newt’s, everyone wants your opinion and when you have one like RS, well, no one really cares to document what you think. I’ll point it out every step of the way.

Gingrich is an ABSOLUTE disaster at this point in time. He alone is responsible for bringing us Romney within reach of claiming the nomination. Carl Cameron on SuperTuesday said it best on FoxNews when he reported that the Romney camp was “happy” that Gingrich continues to be in the race. And why not? They should be delirious with delight. Romney would have been kaput had he lost in WA, or his home state of MI where he carried by a mere three points with Gingrich draining away 7% of the vote and finally in crucuial OH where Romney won by just one point and Gingrich siphoning 15% of the vote. So we all pay the price for his bombastic ego. God help us! His sugar-daddy Vegas casino mogul Adelson sent Gingrich a rope line of $20m only because he thinks Gingrich is strong ally of Israel (like “I’ll move the US Embassy to Jerusalem”....and ignite a major breach with US interests in the region that every American president, including the Israelis would not want to happen) and Adelson doesn’t seem to like Santorum’s social conservatism. What a world we live in?

I don’t know who you think I am. I’m raccoonnookkeeper. I do not particularly bash Santorum or gang up with Santorum bashers.

Okay, I don't follow you around the forum watching what you say, so I'll take your word for it.  As for what I accused you of, let's look at what I was addressing, and what I responded with.

You got to look at everything including where he is at now.  Is that where you folks are looking when you take Santorum to task constantly?  You ignore what he's been saying on the campaign trail.

It was my take that it has been just fine with Newt's supporters to focus on his past, and ignore his statements on the campaign trail.  Something negative comes out about Newt's past, and I'm admonished to take a look at the whole Newt.  Why the double standard?  That's all I'm saying.  If you don't engage in it, I'm sorry for mischaracterizing your actions.  Can you now link me to a place where you have taken a single Gingrich supporter to task for not taking the whole Santorum record into account?

I think Santorum has some optics problems if he heads into the election, like no he really isn’t running on a platform of annexing the Federal government to the Roman Catholic church. Are you a Roman Catholic (or comin’ wratholic)?

Okay, then you don't seem to think Santorum is planning on handing the federal government over to the Vatican.  I have no idea what you're trying to get to with the rest of this.  I'm not a Catholic, but I have no idea what a wratholic is.  Perhaps you meant wrathaholic, but I have no idea what that is either.

I’ve noticed you go all potpourri in print when you start to get upset with another freeper. Strange.

Well you're entitled to your own opinion of course, but it would be rather helpful for you to give some sort of an example so that I could address it.

"...all potpourri..."  LMAO, God only knows what that means.

Potpourri, look at all the pretty colors. As for following, that’s what the In Forum was made to do. Complain to the proprietors if you don’t want your history seen.
