Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley (R) voted Tuesday morning for Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senators campaign announced via Twitter.
Honored to learn this morning on @rickandbubba that AL Gov. @GovernorBentley cast his vote for me and joined the fight! @RickSantorum tweeted, referring to the popular Rick and Bubba radio show.

I see. Another one of those Newt Gingrich threads where such RUDE Santorum supporters show up hurling ad hominem personal attacks, and call names, of other Freepers supporting another candidate. Yeah, I’m down with that; as it shows up up for what and who they are. Shame. Sad. Whatever.
Newt himself would be embarrassed.
What. An. Insult! .... to Woody!
Cripple creek, there may be something you don’t know about Mexicans. Sit down. Ready? You see, Mexicans have grandmothers. This is unique about them in our world, something poor Asians, Africans, and others do not have. This makes Mexicans alone worthy of our largesse and free schooling and services. It’s all about the precious abuelita.
Thank you for your input! :-) Glad you enjoyed the tapes. We shall do more in the coming hours and days and weeks to make them more available to the Conservative GOP base to judge for themselves.
;^)
Guilty as charged.
I am pointing out how pathetic it is to bring up a one minute video, most of which was not even Newt speaking, as somehow relevant in an election 24 years later. I was pointing out where Rick Santorum was in life 24 years ago to point out how extremely absurd your entire post was.
I do not care what Rick S did 24 years ago, but if you RS folks are so damned interested in 24 years ago, then I’ll bring it up. And I’ll do what you do, which is to bring it up and couch it in the most infammatory and over the top terms possible.
You started this wee wee contest. I simply joined the ridiculous fight you started.
You know why you are pathetic? You claim to be so damned interested in history that you go back to some out of context video from 24 years ago, but in your mind, you edited out the entire 1994 election, only one of the three most historic elections of your lifetime.
Again, we’ll dig up the wonderful family life of mister rogers bride if you insist. It ain’t pretty.
I don’t know who you think I am. I’m raccoonnookkeeper. I do not particularly bash Santorum or gang up with Santorum bashers. I think Santorum has some optics problems if he heads into the election, like no he really isn’t running on a platform of annexing the Federal government to the Roman Catholic church. Are you a Roman Catholic (or comin’ wratholic)?
I’ve noticed you go all potpourri in print when you start to get upset with another freeper. Strange.
This is my all-time favorite Newt Gingrich quote. I have no trouble believing it because knowing how Newt operates, he’d agree with it:
It doesnt matter what I do, Gingrich once said to Marianne Gingrich, the second wife he dumped after 18 years to marry his mistress Calista Bisek. People need to hear what I have to say. Theres no one else who can say what I can say. It doesnt mater what I live.
(This is what Newt told Marianne the day after he went to Pennsylvania and gave a speech on family values and she asked him how he could give a speech on that doing what he was doing with Callista)
Pssst. Over here. :)

Gov. Niki Haley endorse Romney in S. Carolina and we all know how that turned out!
Wow; I’m so glad he didn’t wait until the last minute. (/sarc.)
I know exactly where you’re coming from, because it grates me too. Look, we both understand that politicians can change, and it would have been possible for Newt to have changed after the late 1980s. But Newt didn’t change.
Despite being a good historian, and a great presenter of our own history, when it comes to contemporary comments and actions, this guy has screwed the pooch more times than we can count.
Did Newt change? No. He was still selling the Reagan legacy is dead into the not that recent past. He was still selling the Man-Made Global Warming nonsense in 2008.
From the early 1980s to at least the late 2000s, this guy was a wing-nut.
His Contract with America was a group effort, actually written by someone else with input from Newt and others.
Newt’s dishonesty about his true relationship with Reagan and his policies, as well as his subterfuge with regard to the Contract, and his own sordid public statements on various issues, reveal a man who is not who he wants folks to think he was/is.
Is that the trait of a real Conservative?
It is time for Newt to get out. He should have done so after Georgia when he could have done so with his pride intact.
The strategy is obvious. Stay in long enough to deny Santorum the ability to garner a complete delegate win. Get out, or rather 'suspend the campaign', soon enough to allow Santorum to stop Romney from doing the same. Take the fight to the convention where they might just be sway by Gingrich's magical mesmerizing monologue mojo.
The problem is, Gingrich is a good debater & speech maker but not that good. He can fire up those who like him but he has only ever failed to sway those who don't. This again and again.
I like the guy Gingrich but he will never be president and he will never be more than a leader of a faction of the Conservative movement. His ideological and political infidelities are what have done this to him.
I really, really don’t want Tricky Ricky Sanctimonious in the People’s House.
Anyone who heard Newt at the Alabama debate last night should know he is the one to take it to Obama.
Like say THIS ONE VIDEO CLIP where Speaker Newt takes credit and proudly proclaims he supported RINO/RIPON SOCIETY POOBAH GOV. NELSON ROCKEFELLER in the South as a campaign official arrayed against Conservative BARRY GOLDWATER in 1964. I guess when of those enlightened Republicans vs. those prehistoric cavemen right wingers for Barry who seized the Party from common sense back in 1964 (which of course by the way had a dynamite speech by Ronald Reagan in support of Goldwater, the GOP conservative candidate Newt Gingrich battled against in the south at that time).
I'll be doggoned....
