This is my all-time favorite Newt Gingrich quote. I have no trouble believing it because knowing how Newt operates, he’d agree with it:
“It doesn’t matter what I do,” Gingrich once said to Marianne Gingrich, the second wife he dumped after 18 years to marry his mistress Calista Bisek. “People need to hear what I have to say. There’s no one else who can say what I can say. It doesn’t mater what I live.”
(This is what Newt told Marianne the day after he went to Pennsylvania and gave a speech on family values and she asked him how he could give a speech on that doing what he was doing with Callista)
