A major badge of success for Brill Building composers was to cross over to the country charts, where a lot of money could be made. In this case, it was country artist Skeeter Davis who crossed over to the world of pop with this Gerry Goffin and Carole King tune in 1963. The Middle 8 is brilliant.

It has a Neil Sedaka feel to it.
