“Critical Race Theory”

That’s a valid “field”? What utter BS!

This Derrick Bell tie is a non-issue. Nobody but fellow conservatives cared about Wright or Ayers, and nobody else will care about Bell - except this time it will backfire, with all the Breitbart run-up. People are left saying, “is that all?” Then we look like douche-bags.

Bell was the first tenured African-American professor of Law at Harvard University. That a young black undergrad said some flattering things about him in an introduction is not news.

Obama refers to Bill Ayers as “Just a guy in the neighborhood”

CNN refers to Bell as “Just a law professor”

Nothing to see here. Move along you racists!

I like what U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Richard Posner had to say about Critical Race Theory:

What is most arresting about critical race theory is that...it turns its back on the Western tradition of rational inquiry, forswearing analysis for narrative. Rather than marshal logical arguments and empirical data, critical race theorists tell stories — fictional, science-fictional, quasi-fictional, autobiographical, anecdotal — designed to expose the pervasive and debilitating racism of America today. By repudiating reasoned argumentation, the storytellers reinforce stereotypes about the intellectual capacities of nonwhites.

Derrick Bell was a big deal - about the time Barack Obama was in law school. Bell and his allies were essentially pushing for affirmative action in granting tenured faculty positions at Harvard Law School.

White males who were recognized as the most outstanding scholars in their fields, but weren't flaming liberals, were being black-balled by the liberals as they came up for tenure - because there wasn't a tenured 'woman of color,' among other things.

Bell and his cohorts wanted HLS to consider things besides academic standing, writing, scholarship, etc. - and by-step rules to grant professorships based on life experience and whether a person would bring diversity to the faculty. If HLS didn't have a paraplegic pygmy eskimo lesbian, and a 26-year-old paraplegic pygmy eskimo lesbian who had graduated at the bottom of her class from an unaccredited school three years earlier was available, then she should get the position over a former U.S. Solicitor General, even if the subject was Constitutional Law.

That's what the hubbub was about.

The end of January 2010 is when the lieberals were hot & heavy trying to recruit what I call the “Obama Fedeyeen” - the Obama brownshirts- in primarily urban high schools.

The logs show two visits by an individual of that name [Derrick Bell] on January 29 and 31, 2010.

January 2010 is when the leftwingnut group NION held its silly theatrics called the "INTL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY ON CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY COMMITTED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION" at the Riverside Church and Columbia U. A bunch of nuts attended it including former UNSCOM inspector Scott Ritter. The commission was organized by the Not in Our Name Statement of Conscience and is endorsed by: Center for Constitutional Rights, National Lawyers Guild, After Downing Street.org and others....

(Note that Obama and Pelosi's pharmaceutical queen Sandra Fluke belongs to the National Lawyers Guild/NLG.)

January 2010 is also when the group Code Pink [at least one honcho in that organization served as an Obama campaign bundler] started to place banner ads on the Muslim Brotherhood website promoting Code Pink's "Gaza Freedom march." If I remember right Bill Ayers and Dohrn were involved with that in Egypt as was George Galloway, the British politician who was on Saddam Hussein's gift list.

It was no coincidence that January 2010 was when Obama had many Hamas front groups removed from the US list of terrorist organizatons. This opened the way for European aid to palestinians in Hamas-controlled Gaza.

January 2010 was quite a month in lefty activism.

I wonder if Obama was consulting with Derrick Bell about who to appoint as his envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference or OIC. In February, after the professor visited the White House in Jan, Obama appointed Rashad Hussein to that job. Id there a connection?

Rashad Hussein was a former Yale law student , an editor of the Yale Law Journal [sound familiar?] and a sympathizer of Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Sami al Arian. He was apperently involved in a campaign claiming al Arian was the victim of islamophobia. After al Arian was convicted someone was very embarassed about Rashad Hussein's involvement with al Arian enough to try to hide it. [see http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/02/obamas-new-oic-envoy-defended-top-jihadist——and-someone-has-covered-up-the-evidence.html ]

In Jan 2009 Obama appointed Rashid Hussein to be a White house deputy associate counsel. I guess having a WH depty counsel connected to an admitted terrorist would be a little awkward.

He was appointed and then a year later he was appointed to OIC.

OIC has 57 member Islamic states/countries, which as it happens, is how many states Obama thought he had visited during his campaign.
