Columbus, Ohio (CNN) -- Mitt Romney won six Super Tuesday states including the big prize of Ohio, while Rick Santorum took three states and Newt Gingrich grabbed a vital triumph in Georgia, CNN projected.

Romney was projected early Wednesday to win Alaska's caucuses, the last to tally votes among the 10 states with delegates up for grabs.

people are not paying attention, they come home, sit down, and think their local news is telling them the truth, hell FOX news has not even wrote on their bottom banner Newt taking GA.

The problem on our side is we have too many ignorant idiots out there who think Hannity is a conservative, think Romney is a conservative, think republicans are standing up to obama, think they’re conservative but are more like the old time Dems.

It’s like when I meet a so called republican from the north east , who move down here and then they try and tell us down here that they’re republicans but then say they have no problem with the queer agenda, cross dressing, killing babies and then admit they hardly ever follow politics.

agree.

I’m hoping none of them get enough votes now, Sarah and Col Allen West come in and save the day.

Well I can dream can’t I.

Speaking of which I see Sarah and Cain voted for Newt last night, sadly though FOX and Romney have destroyed Newt but we still have more southern states to go, MS, AL,

In south I trust

Romney won 5, Santorum 3, Newt 1 and one was tied. Anyone who calls 1 % a victory is a dupe. Santorum blocked Romney’s cruise to the nomination last night. Whether he can continue to block and then gain the upper hand depends in part on Newton Huckabee FRingrich’s actions.

>This whole election cycle has been a worst case scenario. I hope our country can survive.

Yep. You've got two "conservative" that I'm not totally thrilled with (but would vote for) splitting the vote between the two of them...and a fringe candidate also taking out an even more right element.

What's left is a RINO who will get the nomination because two camps exist: The Newt Camp and the Santorum Camp. Neither will abandon their guy and are just as happy ensuring Mittens takes the scraps.

Since I like some of Newt's positions and some of Santorum's positions...and ALSO have equal problems with things in their past (I get a kick out of Newt people when they point the finger at Rick folks...and vice versa. BOTH have big flaws)...I plan on voting for the guy who has the biggest lead next to Mittens.

Which is what Ohio voters should have done with Rick.

Unless one of the Non Romneys drop out, Mitt is going to coast to nomination. That’s the fact.

In every state (with the exception of Mass), Romney lost to the combined NonRomney vote (not counting Paul).

It’s sad that conservatives could not coalesce behind one candidate. If it were Palin in there she would have coasted to victory, as she’d have been able to lead the entire conservative coalition.

Santorum gave the best post-election speech by far last night. It was what this election is all about - Liberty!

I think Newt wants to debate Obama more than he wants to be president. I don’t know how many times he mentioned wanting to get in the debate ring. And this election is about more than just gas prices, Newt.

I’ve wavered between Newt and Santorum in the past. I am wavering no more.

It’s sad...but it looks more and more like Fauntleroy. Gee, I have a great idea of a pivotal election, let’s run the guy who lost to the last guy that ran against 0bama.

I have seen it all coming for the past year. Fact is, I think Newt is the most qualified man for the job and I voted for him because of that. If nobody else can see that, that’s their problem. They can vote for Mitt Romney when the time comes I guess. or not. I really don’t care anymore.

“Oh, don’t give up hope. Long way to go still. Conservatives can STILL put it out of their butts, but they need to UNITE.”

Yeah... and I can think of two of ‘em to start off that “unite” thing. We’re NEVER going to beat Romney if Gingrich and Santorum keep splitting the anti-Romney vote, and both of them are so egotistic that neither is going to drop out to help the other one... insuring that, once again, we have a pathetic RINO as our candidate.

After yesterday, I’m afraid, the handwriting’s on the wall - and if it’s going to be Romney against Obama, as SOME point we have to stop trying to damage our own candidate and start taking a look at that joke of a President we absolutely NEED to vote out of office.

I thought that the Republican party leaders were pushing Romney, but obviously a lot of Republicans who vote want an Obama clone in the White House.

I believe that it’s, already, too late for the U.S. to survive, as a pro-conservative, capitalistic country. The left dominates way too much of what’s important, and this includes a bunch of non-elected jobs where people’s minds can be shaped to become pro-left for life. The final results of the November 2006 election convinced me of this. It, also, doesn’t help that conservatism hasn’t made any serious political inroads throughout all of the more urban areas of the U.S., and conservatism, to the caliber of “U.S. conservatism” or greater, hasn’t “caught on” throughout the rest of the world. Worldwide political correctness, and everything associated with it, and worldwide “dumbing down” of the general public, and everything associated with it, have become way too ingrained in people’s lives, whether they, even, know so or not.

Rick Santorum, of the JV squad, let Captain Newt of Varsity take charge...

...hmmm, take out the guy who won three states on Super Tuesday, and put in the guy that won one, which happens to be his home state...yeah, I guess I see the sensibility in that...

Sorry but outside of GA it looks like Newt didn’t get a whole lot more support other than Freepers. If Newt is really interested in stopping Romney he’ll announce an end to his campaign, today and then endorse Santorum and ask his supporters to get behind him. Anything else and we’re guaranteed a Romney nomination!

Just to let reality peek into your opinion for a moment. Even IF Speaker Gingrich were to withdraw from the race, Lil’ Ricky would be at about 1/2 of Romney’s delegate count.

I voted for Newt in Ohio but, at this point, it seems pretty obvious who the nominee is going to be.

I'm sure Mitt appreciates your support!

That is pretty much what I am hearing from the people I talk to out there. They want Obama gone and are becoming discouraged with all the candidates. Most say they will vote for ABO because Obama unchecked with 4 more years would be horrible beyond comprehension.

Guess what? santorum got about the same number of delegates as Gingrich!
and Newt is looking at a BIG gain next week! So maybe little Ricky should drop out?

It’s “Super Tuesday,” only Romney and Gingrich can emerge to challenge Obama

I agree, but there are a lot of media and other types that we have to overcome. Don't you know that they have already picked Romney? I'm sick of these people telling me who I should vote for. I'm sick of how the little mistakes made by FOX show they want Romney.

NOTE THE BANNER ON THE BOTTOM OF THEIR SCREEN. All last night and even now, the only state NOT LISTED, showing who won is GEORGIA!!!
