................ Carbonite: OK. Now we'll talk Carbonite. And about Mr. McLaughlin of Sleep Number. And two of the co-founders of Legal Zoom.
Carbonite's statement was especially and curiously unctuous, its withdrawal of sponsorship coming as it did after Rush's apology. Here is Carbonite's CEO David Friend:
...Now. Carbonite really deserves some special attention......................
MoveOn.org, America Coming Together and Democracy for America, all three listed here as George Soros funded groups, the latter set up by Howard Dean. Texans for Truth also drew Mr. Friend's support. This group, according to Wikipedia, was set up by MoveOn.org spin-off Drive Democracy.org in 2004. Why? To wait for it challenge then-President Bush's service in the Texas National Guard. The precise same stunt for which CBS fired Dan Rather after documents were discovered to have been forged. The Bush-Cheney campaign said of Texans for Truth that it was "a smear group launching baseless attacks on behalf of John Kerry's campaign that will be rejected by the American people." They were. But that didn't quench Mr. Friend's affection for either the smear campaign or supporting leftist candidates such as Howard Dean, and John Kerry.
And get a load of this. Take a look right here at Ed "Laura Ingraham is a slut" Schultz's site for his radio show. Who is listed as a Schultz sponsor? That's right: Carbonite. Like Rush Limbaugh, Ed Schultz apologized. The difference? If Rush uses the word "slut" to illustrate the absurdity of the left-wing Sandra Fluke's views -- David Friend is outraged. But when Ed Schultz refers in hostile fashion out of the blue to conservative and Catholic Laura Ingraham as a "slut" -- hey, no big deal for Carbonite......

I don’t think newt likes rush very much. Earlier in the primary race, newt was emailing rush to have him announce or explain things to his audience, which rush did a few times. I think newt was hoping to snag rush’s audience and possibly rush’s first primary endorsement. But when newt started slipping down, rush did not come to his defense. I see newt as kissing liberal butt on this issue and I find it disappointing, if typical for the needy guy who needs to be popular.
It will make a difference... and Rush had BETTER NEVER take these commie bastards back as sponsors.

A couple of days ago, I sent a message to Speaker Boehner. Told him there was no need for Rush to apologize. I, as a taxpayer, did not want to pay for someone’s birth control pills. You are paying them to have sex. Isn’t that prostitution?
I’ve used legal zoom. I think Robert Shapiro dropped out of actively defending OJ, didn’t he? He tried to get out or something? But I won’t use them again unless they apologize to rush.
I agree. Rush is a smart guy with smart people behind him. This is just a chess move, a game to Rush. He will make his next move to throw a wrench into the drive by media's mechanism. He will use this to expose absured-ism plus build on the conservative armament...hopefully. I hope he makes these traitors who pulled out suffer if he is at all set back.
This is an interesting article, but...it raises a disturbing question in my mind.
Why, why would Rush Limbaugh endorse Carbonite? I won’t accept ignorance as an answer to that question.
We’ve always pondered where the left gets all this money from, when their base appears to be the 50% who doesn’t pay taxes.
Was Rush just a useful tool to the left to raise money for their cause? Is or was Carbonite just a way to launder money out of conservatives? Better yet, Rush says he backs-up all his files to Carbonite...useful tool, blackmailed, or is he the first real Benedict Arnold to the conservative cause?
And that stupid ‘bomb threat’ the other night. What of that “unspeakable” business opportunity? Was it a shut-up warning and keep your lifestyle or ...or was this the or else result?
I, for one, make it a point to not patronize sponsors who use “celebrities” who are out-spoken lefties. I know it works both ways but feel that Rush should have stuck to his guns, told the sponsors who threatened to pull out to pack sand and open the door to new ones...
whose sales would go through the roof...
free market, baby...
Don’t forget: Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what youll find. ~James Carville, after Paula Jones made a sexual harassment allegation against Bill Clinton
The question is was Rush's endorsement of these companies an accident?
My mom recieved some Pro-Flowers with a box of candy one time and the candy had bugs in it! They suck anyway
OK, just watching FOX and Rich Lowery just threw Rush under the bus and had an epiphany...
the Pubbie establishment is striking back!
Even the Pub establishment uses Alinsky...isolate your enemy..
Lowery is on the same page as Kirstin Powers...disgusting.
Right ON!!!!!!
You could also use an inexpensive NAS like the TonidoPlug, PogoPlug, or one of Synology’s lower-end units. In simple terms, an NAS is like your own personal file server for backing up data. You can even access its files remotely like you can with Carbonite.
Most NAS units have extra features that really come in handy, such as streaming music & videos to smartphones and DLNA-compliant A/V receivers, that make them well worth the investment.
Breitbart would have responded by producing at least fifteen Georgetown male students who claimed to have slept with her, thereby proving the point.
I was considering using your product again.
Given the hypocritical statements from the CEO, David Friend, and the company's actions to drop their sponsorship on Rush's radio show I have chosen to not by Carbonite.
I'm also telling everyone I know to reconsider purchasing Carbonite as well.
Rush Limbaugh has a right to express his opinions under the First Amendment.
And you have your right to overreact and disingenuously pull your sponsorship on Rush's show under the guise of coming to the defense of “this courageous and well-intentioned young lady.” Never mind this 30 year old activist, Sandra Fluke, has a record of denying free speech to others.
I noticed there was no such outrage by the concerned father, Mr. Friend, when Ed Schulz on his show (where Carbonite is a sponsor) called Laura Ingraham the same thing. Apparently, Carbonite never felt the need to pull their sponsorship then to “ contribute to more civilized public discourse.”
So Carbonite cherry picks and chooses what people offend them, and pulls their sponsorship accordingly.
At least be honest, and under full disclosure, explain Mr. Friend's contributions to MoveOn.org, America Coming Together and Democracy for America.
Carbonite and CEO David Friend's true intentions and motivations are disingenuous and hypocritical.
Sincerely,
P.S. I don't want any type of canned e-mail response as a lame justification of your “values as a company.”
