Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit points to a story at Tax Prof Blog about Northeastern University's decision to bar the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A from that fine institution's campus.
Why the exclusion? On the basis of some of its charitable giving, Chick-fil-A is considered to be anti-gay by the gay rights group Equality Matters. Among the groups that raise ire are outfits such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Focus on the Family, The Family Resource Council, and Exodus International. Certainly some of these groups talk often about pushing back on what they consider "the homosexual agenda" that has continued to spread like chlymidia despite the cancellation of Will & Grace some years ago. Exodus International is a leading "pray away the gay" outfit.

If they're anti-gay, that's just a bonus!
Hmmm...I had the chance to eat there last week in Utah. Kinda makes me wish I’d have stopped in and patronized them. Oh well...next time.
They always were anti-homo and that’s why I go there, especially the new one here in Hollywood. Our company always deals with the fudgers so why not once take a break?
Their loss. I’m sure there’s a Pepsico institution they can find to fill that void. That’s some crack chicken.
Now opposing homosexual Leftists pushing for para-constitutional non-existant so-called “rights” based on behavior choices—well that's just being a damn good American!
Don't let the bastards rule the language.
It keeps the AIDS and STD’s out of your sammich. Thank you Chick-Fil-A!
I don't recognize you or your authority on anything. You are nothing more than a parasite feeding off the decency of kind hardworking people. Crawl back under the rock you call home and devolve back into the primordial slime you came from.
I eat where I want. Except the Chicken and Waffle House in Watts.
So, what was REASON’s conclusion?
Do they endorse a boycott because of the owners political opinions?
WHich would make them the same as the leftists
They are a Mormon family, and thus, the values all come through. Heck, they openly put biblical sayings on some of their cups (in the past) and had VeggieTales for kids things. Not to mention the “Virtues” items, which you know aren’t socialist/liberal “virtues”.
My husband reads the local “food” blog, and about 6 mos ago a bunch of liberal harpies (typical in this area) went on about a Chick-Fil-A in PA (an hour or more above us, and we have CFA right here in town) supposedly being “anti-homo” because they supplied food for a “marriage counseling” seminar which would not include homos (they were a Christian group). Oh the cackling from these wenches. It ANGERED me when 1 of these harpies had the gaul to say, in the face of this controversy, that “CFA morals are QUESTIONABLE” and of course all of them thought they might boycott. OOOOOOooooo, that ticked me off. Unfortunately, I did not have an account and decided I did not wish to get involved in that type of thing yet. I have enough stife on-line with my other things, and that would be LOCAL - they would probably find out who I am and picket me. Bastards.
I LOVE Chick-Fil-A, and it’s just a bonus that they are MORAL.
Agreed. The chicken salad on wheat toast is a nice lunchtime sandwich. Their salads and lemonade is delicious as well!
2% of the population with maybe 30% going along with their political agenda, versus the rest of the country.
Wonder who might win that one, lol?
Equality Matters [that surely violates truth in advertising?] is ANTI-Christian.
My biggest problem with Chick-Fil-A is getting anywhere close to the one near me at mealtime. That place is always a mob scene.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your reply, but Truett Cathy is Southern Baptist through and through, not Mormon. Those are the values shining through at his establishments.
I think we should start a list of the Anti-Gay companies and frequent them more often.
I am SICK and TIRED of the Gays demanding we accept their perverted lifestyle. I don’t like it and I WILL NOT accept it.
