HAMILTON, Ohio Newt Gingrich avoided criticizing Rush Limbaugh for publicly assailing Sandra Fluke over her testimony to Congress advocating for health insurance companies to cover birth control, but he was quick to attack President Obama, saying he acted opportunistically when he called the Georgetown Law student to express his disappointment in Limbaughs comments.
I think the president will opportunistically do anything he can, Gingrich said after a rally at the Back Porch Saloon. I think the most important use of language in the last week has been the presidents apology to religious fanatics, and I want to stay focused on what the president has said, and I think what he said was inexcusable and is exactly the wrong policy at a time of life and death, and playing political games is irrelevant as far as Im concerned.
After Limbaugh took to his radio show and called Fluke a slut for her stance on contraception, Obama phoned the woman Friday afternoon to extend his support.
Asked if thinks contraception will continue to be an issue in the presidential campaign, Gingrich said the problem is infringement on religious liberty, not contraception.
Its about the attack on the Catholic Church and the attack on every right to life institution and whether or not the government has the power to dictate to religious organizations, he said.

Thank you! I have to wait until June to vote for Newt.
It is what democrats do. In Rush words, “a lion is a lion and a tiger is a tiger....”
Opportunistics, unpresidential and cheap.
IMO, Newt is the only one of the 3 candidates who has handled this issue properly when asked about it by the media.
Please watch this very brief clip and listen to Obama's own words in his (lip-smacking) speech to a joint session of Congress on September 9, 2009:
After reading your post I searched for this info, can you tell me where to find it please?
“Gingrich handles himself better than anyone else.”
That comes with experience and one of the many reasons I support Newt. Santorum does not yet have the experience needed. GO NEWT GO!
When I was a kid you could get a rubber out of a vending machine in any club for fiddy cents
New Gingrich is the only presidential candidate who really knows his enemy.
Its obvious this POS has an agenda against the Church.
This is a prime example why Rick is not ready for the big time. When Rick was asked the question Rick responded by saying Rush was “absurb”. Newt responed by turning the question around on Obama and Fluke. Newt knows how to handle these types of questions and Rick does not. GO NEWT GO!
On Super Tuesday, I will be voting for Gingrich.

As will Mr.S.S. and I !!!!!!!!!!
GO NEWT
Rick thought he was being smart.
Rush himself said that he was diddling in the realm of the absurd in order to make light of the lefts absurd positions.
But you are right, Rickey is a political neophyte.
His “Agenda” is the Constitution.
Newt for all his foibles, has the best historical understanding of this nation and it’s foundations.
Newt doesn’t respond to ridiculous media premises. He turns the question around and jams it down their throats.
I honestly cannot see anyone else changing this track we are on. The bridge is close and it is understood to be out.
“Can you send me a link to that?”

Somebody has to forge the gorge so that we cant reconstruct the bridge.
I’m using a Kindle so I can’t post the links but check out the theads on Freep. One is on the side of the main thread page “Sandra Fluke is no Fluke”. It reveals who she is.
