It's HIGH TIME all the conservative voters unite behind Newt Gingrich to beat the moderate-leaning-progressive Romney and win the GOP nomination for a decisive victory over Obama next November

Radell Smith, at Yahoo! News:

“Who in America couldn’t jump for joy if we could see $2.50 per gallon for our vehicle gasoline cost again? With Barack Obama refusing to sign the Keystone Pipeline paperwork, ever seeing $2.50 per gallon for gasoline seemed like a fantasy until Newt said that. It is highly likely Gingrich could truly deliver on that promise - because he has a history of delivering on prior promises when he represented Georgia in Congress. He definitely has a successful political history here and in Congress, that can’t be denied.”

“Santorum is just not ready for prime time.” I agree and I also think Newt has a better grasp of the issues. GO NEWT GO!

I’ve resigned myself to believing that we blew a golden opportunity to set back Liberal progressives for decades by ensuring Obama will squeeze by re-election.

I abandon the presidential election and now hope and work for maintaining the house and make gains in the Senate.

Romney has crapped in the sand box and has smeared all the other candidates. I’m writing in Gingrich no matter who wins the nomination.

Thank you Ann Coulter, I will never read your columns without remembering that you helped us lose 2012.

Santorum is just not ready for prime time. He is simply too divisive, offending gays, women, parents, protestants and libertarians

I’m a born-again, Ronald Reagan-style Republican and a lot of the stuff that Rick says makes me cringe. If he is the nominee, Obozo will carry 35 States and by 2016, this nation will have arrived in hell in a hand basket.

Newt is polling 15% in Ohio. He hasn’t risen at all. Romney has.

I guess Newt could be President of Georgia or SC.

Sometimes name recognition works as long as it is good or carries no importance.

If it isn’t all very positive, it hurts.

Most likely the best we are going to get out of this is for both to stay in to make Mitt and the GOP-e miserable.

That part is working.

I’m absolutely convinced that Newt Gingrich is the junkyard dog we need to rip Obama a new one and send him running back to his Chicago slime pit with his tail between his legs. Newt has plenty of DC experience as Speaker, executive ability from his many enterprises, and a silver tongue that’s razor sharp! He’s fast on his feet, delivers it straight up with no hemming and hawing, and is often witty. His work with American Solutions was very impressive and as we’ve seen recently, Newt is able to put into words what the vast majority of Americans really believe. His fevered brain also has plenty of ideas for making government work better for taxpayers. Is Newt pure as new driven snow? No - none of the presidential candidates are in line for sainthood. Whatever Newt’s “baggage”, it pales next to Obama’s habitual lying and outright corruption - and unlike Obama, Newt is 100% American! Newt is like Larry the Cable Guy: send him to DC and he’ll “Get ‘er done” for all of us. Newt has “Been there, done that! Junkyard dogs are not show dogs, but they’ll save your bacon!

I am damn mad at what Obama and his bootlickers have stolen from us - you should be too - and I want someone to represent me! Newt Gingrich is that man! Sic ‘im, Newt!

Where is Newt's path to victory?

No poll is showing that to be likely possibility. Voting for Newt in Ohio is merely a vote for Romney. Santorum has a lead in Tennessee and Oklahoma that looks insurmountable.

Gingrich is only ahead in his own home state.

If looks like it Santorum or Romney. I'll gladly take Santorum in that scenario.

Gingrich is back to hovering around the mid teens — where he hovered the 6 months before Cain stepped aside.

Push all you want, but Gingrich has less support than McCain got in 2008.

I hate to see Romney get the nomination, but Santorum, like Gingrich, let his mouth do him in when he was seeming like a real threat.

Both Gingrich and Santorum have proved themselves to be their own worst enemies.

I doubt a brokered convention would produce a more desirable nominee. Instead, the elites who have most of the control would give us Jeb or some other establishment moderate.

We have the worst president since Carter, and the GOP field is unbelievably lacking.

With the recent cave on what Rush said, Santorum must go. He’s got the scent of ‘hands across the aisle’ and that stinks. Go, Newt! This woman will be voting for Newt.

I’ve said it on another thread and I’ll say it again:

Fellow Freepers, if you are voting for Romney or Santorum instead of Newt Gingrich, and Gingrich is not our nominee, I hope you are ready to congratulate yourselves every day as we see the price of gas, food, electricity and every thing we consume Sky Rocket!

Newt is the only candidate with a solid Energy Plan that will reverse the damage done by this administration, give us energy independence and millions of Jobs.

This is as serious as it gets. Vote Newt! You’ll be glad you did!

Virginia voters will need to vote for Paul, to keep those delegates out of Romney's corner.

Newt's strong points are his experience in Congress, and he does well in debates. His weakness is his past, which we'll constantly be defending. But, I agree that we need to unite the conservative vote NOW. If Newt is the choice, I'm in.

At this point, our best strategy is as follows:

If you live in a state where Newt is the main challenger to Romney, Vote Newt.

If you live in a state where Rick Santorum is the main challenger, vote for Rick.

If we do that, we win either way. If Romney gets the nomination, we're screwed no matter what happens in November.
