The young woman who was called a "slut" by Rush Limbaugh got a call Friday from President Obama who voiced support for her pro-birth control advocacy.
"He encouraged me and supported me and thanked me for speaking out about the concerns of American women," Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke said on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports." She got the call from Obama while in a green room waiting to appear on the show.
"What was really personal for me was that he said to tell my parents that they should be proud and that meant a lot because Rush Limbaugh questioned whether or not my family would be proud of me," Fluke said. "So I just appreciated that very much."
Soon after she appeared on TV, Fluke also thanked Obama on her Twitter account. "Thank you @BARACKOBAMA for your call and words of support. It means so much to me and millions of women! #WeWillNotBeSilenced," she wrote.

He’d have to take a # and wait. I’m sure her business has picked up.
Well that does it! it looks like the ‘rats get the slut votes. I was really hoping to entice them to our side - for Lazs sake, of course.
Ok our President call s a women that testified she has so much sex she cannot afford the needed birth control but she demands the taxpayers pay for her sex habits. The fact she spend 58,000 a year on tuition but cannot afford an additional 10 bucks for protection should tell folks she has her priorities screwed up IMHO. Then President Obama tells her he’s proud of her. What message is this sending to folks? Her behavior isn’t anyone’s concern but hers but demanding taxpayers pay for it is wrong. I am more concerned our President feels such behavior and demands are more important than him focusing on creating jobs for the unemployed.
If she did cut his buts off it would make Jesse hiJackson happy.
And while she's at it, she can ask the old man to help pay for her pills.
Well, at least he finally found an issue he can grasp and actually comprehend.
Wonder if he invited her to the WH for a *ahem*...meeting. We all know she will NOT be sitting next to Moochell at the next SOTU speech. That's for sure. lol
What a man-child. What a maroon. Simply amazing.
That's one answer, another is, "How is it that obama got elected in 2008"?
*buts* = nuts.
Limbaugh is an idiot. According to standards of conduct, which I think conservatives believe in, it is not acceptable to call a woman slut. Sorry. Limbaugh is the one who failed to uphold conservative behavior. If he wants to be Howard Stern, he should go do that, and quit claiming to be conservative.
Did Obama apologize again?
Can’t stand these people on Politico. Idiots all of them. Esp some idiot girl from MIT. What the hell is she majoring in? It damn sure can’t be a subject that requires logic.
#WeWillNotBeSilenced
I heard Rush just pose the question “where is Sarah Palin’s apology?” as I recall she was called many names and most were far more vulgar than “slut”. Where is Nancy Pelosi’s apology to Sarah? He also asked if Obama is going to give back Bill Mahr’s donation based on the things he called Sara Palin (His quotes were the most vulgar)? Enough of this stupid double standard that republicans are always on the wrong side of.
This “young lady” is apparently not who she was originally presented to be: http://www.conservativecommune.com/2012/03/23-year-old-georgetown-co-ed-sandra-fluke-is-30-year-old-reproductive-rights-advocate/
(Sandra Fluke actually a 30-year-old reproductive rights advocate.)
Check out this fluke’s background: feminist activist leader and asshat lib dimocrat. Attending a $60,000+ per year school and she can’t afford condoms or whatever she wants to pout in her pie hole???? Please!
