If we join Israel in an attack against Iran it must deliver a crippling blow, not a warning, nor nibbling around the edges. It will bring death and destruction to Iran, which is the nature of war. Not necessarily advocating such an action, just don't want halfway measures, a prolonged war, or a ground conflict. Declare war (as they will surely do against us), defeat them utterly, and accept their surrender. Like Japan and Germany they will not surrender unless their ability to wage war is eliminated, which they will be forced to do after a punishing and sustained attack. But they are not Japan or Germany. They need not be occupied. Let them rebuild. Again, we must not enter another no-win war.

Absolutely correct. Israel is going to get one shot at this, so they need to deliver an absolutely crippling blow that will insure Iranian leaders spend the next decade or two worrying about rebuilding and feeding their people instead of building weapons.

Israel needs to use tactical nukes to lance the boils wherever they exist and lift them right out of the ground. Wherever they are doing research? Same. Wipe out their military. Whack their energy systems, water and sanitation so the people feel the issues.

The main weapon of Iran is not nukes, or planes, or tanks or guns. It is the Iranian population that has been brainwashed into supporting the mad mullahs. Tactical nukes won't do the trick. It will just make the population angry and commit them to a never ending terrorist attack. Go strategic or don't bother. Just eliminate the population and you don't have to worry about the weapons any more.

I believe the only reason there is talk about the U.S. joining in with Israel in a strike on Iran is for the purpose of becoming the dominant partner in such a strike in order to LIMIT and INHIBIT the overall scope of such an attack, i.e., 0bama has no desire to see Iran’s nuclear program neutered, nor to see their military-industrial complex decimated, ditto so far as their leadership-command structure is concerned.

What 0bama and his crew of clowns have calculated is that if they were to opt out of an Israeli strike on Iran, they would be unable to influence the outcome, beyond possibly giving Iran an under the table ‘heads up’ that an attack was underway. Once Israel begins such an attack, nobody is going to tell them to stop until they determine that their military objectives have been met.

With U.S. participation, 0bama is hoping to be able to call the shots which means that any attack will just be a limp dick effort which will do nothing except to provoke international outrage against ISRAEL, which is what our illegal regime of thugs in Washington wants more than anything else, the end game THEN becomes “let’s take this all to the U.N.” where we can be sure the deck is already totally stacked against Israel.

Making this sort of announcement does not indicate to me that the kenyan is actually ready to do the deed. It may well be part of “diplomatic pressure” on Iran. That said I have no doubt that the Pentagon has detailed plans and has prepositioned supplies for any eventuality, even if the kenyan has told them it ain’t gonna happen, ever!, because if Iran launches against anyone then whatever the kenyan has heretofore said likely becomes nonoperational.

Actually, that "crìppling blow" is what is necessary to knock Jihad back into hibenation. This Islamic War is something that has been going on since Mohammed captured Mecca. It flares up into conquest when the saracens or one faction of them has enough wealth to finance luxurious living for its pashas and emirs and more for jihad. It ends when the wwealth is destroyed by a totally devastating blow from the West that destroys the wealth and the military capability and assets, such as happened at Poitiers and Lepanto and at Vienna. The Moslem world must be convinced totally that Allah dose not wish for Islam to prevail in this generation/century. When that happens then Islam becomes somnolent until they acquire the wealth again. The current asset base of Jihad does not come from petty conquests snowballing into greater conquest as it happened in the past. This period's jihad comes fro sail of oil to the West. Destruction of the greatest force for jihad, which currently is Iran. must also include western conquest and colonization of the oil fields in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia or all the destruction wrought will only put a little crimp in Jihad. The wealth must be confiscated, cut off.

All of this will only suspend the Jihad, not terminate it. Ending it for the future (while allowing the West to survive) requires extermination or forced conversion of ALL Moslems to some other large organized Religion.

Jihad will end finally when all people on earth are Moslem or when none are.

Another war would likely guarantee the re-election of the incumbent if it happens this summer, especially if it is not a quick punch but rather is drawn out through the election. That said, if Israel determines the timing of it then we just have to mitigate the obamalumps the best we can. For Israel the alternative will be failure to survive. I believe the kenyan is sunni rather than shia and the destruction of Iran would be a plus for him spiritually as well as politically, Especially if he thereby guarantees the survival of sunni Saudi Arabia and its financing of global jihad. I think he would misjudge this, though, because destruction of Iran would knock back the whole Jihad project for a long time, though, after the kenyan is finally out of office, because the Saudis will continue financing jihad with our oil money until they face a nonDemocrat non Moslem POTUS.
