Mitt Romney Wins Arizona and Michigan. Republican Primary Race is Far From Over
Catholic Online ^ | 2/29/12 | Keith A Fournier

Posted on 02/29/2012 5:17:59 AM PST by tcg

....When CNN returned to the Santorum speech, the candidate was gracious in defeat, humble and inspiring. He had a large crowd gathered along with his wife and members of his family. They were all clearly enthused and not overtly disappointed or discouraged. After thanking all who made his surprising showing possible, he returned to overriding theme of his campaign, Freedom.

Next Tuesday is called "Super Tuesday" for a lot of reasons. Rick Santorum may just add one more reason by again surprising the political establishment.

The political "left" knows that Rick Santorum is a formidable candidate from a working class family who connects with the very people whom they claim to represent. They also know he is a formidable communicator, does not need a teleprompter - and will not back down from a fight, whether it is with Mitt Romney or Barack Obama.

They know he possesses the courage needed for the upcoming contest with President Barack Obama. That is why they deride him so viciously. He threatens them. He has shown himself to be a full spectrum candidate, ready to debate every issue. He will not be intimidated by the bullying of their rhetoric nor succumb to the savage insults of their elite media spokespersons. He has thick skin and a strong heart.

Some within the Republican establishment like Rick Santorum's economic conservatism but are uncomfortable with his insistence on discussing the "moral issues". He continues to refer to America as a moral enterprise and it seems to make some of them squirm. Of course, he is correct. There is a moral basis to a truly free society. One cannot - one must not - separate the moral, economic, cultural, and social issues if we want to return to the sources of our liberties and flourish once again. ...

I am one of a large group of Americans who are tired of the Republican establishment picking the nominee of the Party. I am a "Reluctant Republican". I have no other choice. I left the Democratic Party when the opponents of the fundamental human right to life took control of the leadership of that Party and turned it upside down.

I grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts in a working class home. Sadly, the bizarre alliance which took over the Democratic Party many years ago has held it captive for decades. People like me have been forcibly evicted, out of conscience. We listen to those who now lead that Party and are disgusted with so much of their agenda.

Santorum connects with people like us...

The anti Santorum ads are still running in Michigan this morning.

Losing in an opponents home state, and trying to overcome a deluge of "Early Votes" stacked in the home-boy's column prior to the REAL vote, and STILL Romney-the-RINO eeks out a very-slim-margin win.

The Establishment Elite is in deep doo-doo with the populace overall, and they know it. They will do whatever it takes to prevent a Brokered Convention, which will put THEIR BOY ROMNEY-THE-RINO at the curb.....

The Messiah will win a 2nd Term, if Romeny-the-RINO is the candidate.

Even though Romney won Michigan, it was still priceless to see Romney complain about unfair campaign tactics and open primaries! Romney may get his momentum back, but it’s taken a toll. I read in the WSJ that he’s spent a lot of money, and his big money donors that were holding back for the general are now kicking in that cash. His direct donors are mostly maxed out and he doesn’t have a network of small ones.

The anti Santorum ads are still running (the morning after the election)

That’s being done just in case Santorum stays in the running and winds up being the nominee.
. Is it a Romney PAC or a Democ-Com PAC? Who’s running them ? Are they a PAC ? Which PAC ? If it’s a Romney PAC Santorum should bring it up. It it’s a Demo-Com PAC that is also very usefull to point out.

Toughen up, Mitt-ercup; Update: Guess who pushed for Michigan’s open primary? Hint: Rhymes with “snit” and “fit” (Malkin)

Romney also said he voted in Dem primaries to influence the race (politico)

Santorum won at least 53 of our 83 counties leaving Mitt-ercup to scramble for votes in the more “moderate” areas of the state. The whining about Santorum asking democrats to vote for him is pathetic at best.

My liberal democrat sister in Livonia said that Romney supporters knocked on her door 4 times yesterday. When she told them that she was a democrat they said that they didn’t care because Romney was a “rational moderate” and he could use her help to stop Santorum’s extreme agenda. She says the words “Taliban-like” were mentioned.

better get over it soon, cause it’s over for Santorum and Newt, not the way I would prefer, but that’s the way it’s shaping up. Although I gotta say, Romney’s wife is much better at giving a speech than he is, and I could be quite happy with her as first lady, very gracious, intelligent and easy on the eyes, (no disproportionate buttocks or elongated arms like you know who)

If I was Romney, I'd do my best to encourage Gingrich. I'd take my gimme’s, Virgina, Mass., Vermont, try for Idaho, and make a decent showing in Ohio. I'd become the adult in the room again, and talk about Obama. Just sit back and hope that Gingrich shuts out Santorum, because Gingrich will always lose the ABO herd focused on the general.

If Romney had to spend like a drunken sailor to escape his home state by the skin of his teeth, he is loser/toast, and the GOP elites know it.

I suspect that’s the ABO vote returning to Romney. They might as well have been leprechauns.

Milquetoast Rino Romney only won by spending
millions to attack GOP candidates
while Romney actually defended Obama.

Romney will be remembered for giving Obama the
pRes_ _ency in 2008 and 2012 by Team Romney’s
vicious attacks on Gov. Palin and her children,
and then every single GOP conservative candidate.

I don’t think the republican party has any intent of winning the white house at this time. The further into marxism we slide, the more powerful they become right along with the democrats.

To the GOP, having power means metering out just enough freedom to keep us on the grand old plantation.

We did our part. Santorum won the 7th, and even my township.
Congressional districts were split seven a piece. Santorum almost took an eighth district which would have tied Romney for delegates.

Seniors thought they were voting for George. Look at Macomb County results, which is one of the biggest Catholic counties. Compare the election day votes to the absentee votes. Romney won by 200 on election day, and won absentees by 7000.

Hezbollah Endorses Ron Paul

By Debbie Schlussel

I’ve already told you about Ron Paul’s vote to continue U.S. aid and funding to HAMAS. And he also has the group’s Shi’ite counterpart, Hezbollah, on his side, too, just as he did when he ran for President in 2008.
