KORAN BURNING AND AFGHANISTAN
February 23, 2012
So, this last week, some terrorist and enemy combatant detainees in our Afghanistan detention and prison camps were using verses from the Korans that we had supplied to them to stir up more terror mindedness amongst the other detainees, quoting from the Koran to do so. Our forces took away those Korans and sent them to be burned.America at the Crossroads of HistoryThe fundamentalist Islamics found out about this and began rioting. Two American soldiers were apparently killed as a result. Our "brave," anti-American President, Barack Hussein Obama, apologized and now the Afghan President Karzai wants our people to be put on trial.
Well, in my own opinion, we should tell Karzai, and Obama, and anyone who is "embarassed" by this straight where to go.
For Heaven's sake, we are treating these terrorists and enemy fighters that we capture with kid gloves. Like we are somehow the culprits here...and the President of the US is in the forefront of this attitude.
These prisoners should be in solitatiry confinement and subjected to strong interrogation techniques, yes, including water boarding, until we squeeze evey bit of info we can out of them.
Then, under the Geneva convention, as irregulars, they should be summarily executed.
If the populations around them don't like it and riot in protest and in support of the terrorist enemies, then we should treat them the same way we treated the German and Japanese populations in World War II who supported the Nazis and the Emperor...meaning we bomb and fire bomb their cities, towns, villages, and huts until they all abjectly surrender and want NO MORE of fundamental Islam.
Until they demand fundamentalists either leave their area or they hunt them down themselves and irradicate them to end our reprisals.
Thats how we defeated the Nazis and the Imperialists and we have had good Germans and good Japanese ever since.
It's past time we created "good" Islamics out of those fighting against us in the same manner. That's, IMHO, how this has to be handled or we will forever be fighting these terrorist insurgents and enemy fighters and their people because we do not have the will to humble and defeat them sufficiently to produce a disavowal of this wretched, 17th century ideology.
Burning a book justifies burning people??
and which side has to apologize on its knees??
world upside down
FYI...my opinion and read on this sorry situation and the absolute necessity of removing Obama from office by defeating him in November and getting strong American leadership in the preesidency and the House and Senate.
Fighting a war against enemies who hate us and want to kill us and destroy our liberty, way of life, and our life, and against the population centers that support them justifies winning that war and doing so in a manner that brings about real change and eradicates the threat. It is what we did in World War II, and it worked.
IMHO, we either go in there and win and really defeat them and their will to carry on and make war...or we are dooming ourselves to an endless bloodletting and never having a victory.
They are now killing our people because we were going to burn some of the Korans that the enemy combatants we had captured were using to forment rebeliion and radicalization within the prison.
Jeff, we shouldn’t be trying to ‘nation build’ where a modern nation has never previously existed. Japan and Germany were successful endeavors as far as nation building went because they had already been modern nations.
Nations like Afghanistan and Somalia should be treated the same way we dealt with pirates around 1800 - without mercy. Back then we dealt harshly with those who gave succor and protection to pirates/terrorists. We bomb, sack and burn their major cities; make supporting pirates/terrorists so painful, the miscreants will be killed by the population at large.
It took some mighty great arrogance to think Afghanistan could be morphed into a modern nation, not to mention piss poor advice. Really, none of the Muslim nations qualify as modern nations - aboslutely none of them.
Help me here. I posted an article referencing this and got a quick reminder that Bush apologized. My response should be???? help please
Islam is bondage. I wish there was a nicer way to say it.
You have to be respectful of the sensibilities of individuals but we should never bow down to Islam in any way shape or form. The more we treat Islam itself with deference, the more we encourage our enemies that they are right and the more we signal our friends that we are weak and uncertain and therefore wrong.
We can’t defeat Islamists while kneeling before Islam. We have to be confident always in the principles that drive us or we will never inspire anyone to join us. The muslim world will never be free or civilized until they shuck off Islam once and for all. While we protect the innocents from the monsters among them, it does no good to pretend that the monsters are right even for temporary advantage.
Rush Limbaugh said it best years ago, (paraphrasing) “No lasting peace has ever been had at the negotiations table; lasting peace is only obtained when one side so overwhelmingly decimates the enemy, that the enemy calls for an “Unconditional Surrender”.”
I offer US/Japan and US/Germany as examples of “Unconditional Surrender”, and I offer Palestine/Israel, Pakistan/India, US/Iran/Iraq/Afghanistan as examples of “Negotiated Treaties”. Which peace treaties have lasted?
He should not have apologized either.
Radical, fundamental Islam and the scores and scores of millions who support it is not a religion of peace. it is an abject ideology bent on ruling the world and converting, enslaving, or killing anyone who stands in its way.
Plain and simple.
We need to ally ourselves with any muslims who are willing to fight and die for liberty against the Fundamental Islamic, Sharia Law tyranny...and eradicate and destroy the others who support it until they wholesale reject it like we forced the Germans to reject nazism and the Japanese to reject Imperialism.
Japanese Imperialsim, with its tyranny and complete devotion to their Emperor with a religious zeal that caused them to do their own suicide bombings is a lot like radical Islam.
We will have to defeat them the same way, if we are to defeat them.
Burning Korans is just a waste of toilette paper.
Korea...Vietnam...etc., etc.
We must overwhelming and abjectly, completely defeat them, and sadly, kill them (who stand up and support this tyranny) until they themselves want no more of it and are willing themselves to hunt down the fighters to prove to us that they are done with it.
Uncodnitional surrender with a real desire to shed the yoke of Sharia Law and radical Islam that is hanging around the necks of the people supporting it is the only way we will see an end to it.
Then they will be “good” Islamics just as we now have “good” Germans and “good” Japanese to whom Nazism and Imperialism is now a pariah, a hiss, and a by word.
This reminds me of a speech given by an angry black patriot. I learned of this video through Freerepublic a few eeks back when someone posted this link.
Language WARNING. This guy is highly perturbed - and you can really feel his anger.
This isn’t a Bush/Obama thing. This is an America thing. Our response should be the same even if its Newt doing the apologizing. We should be respectful of our friends but never grovel before Islam.
The people who are shooting our soldiers in the back are not our friends, even if they wear Afghan Army uniforms. We don’t owe them anything except a noose.
We reduced Germany and Japan to rubble, and a lot of their people to the graveyards before they turned and were willing to unconditionally surrender and reject Nazism and Imperialism.
We have to do the same to radical Islam for starters...then and only then will they be utterly defeated and then we can talk about what happens to the lands where their Sharia Law and tyranny once ruled...to whom it should belong and who can govern it in peace. But not until then IMHO.
We defeated the very concept of NAZIism and Japanese Imperialism. We defeated them in a way that their very ideologies were discredited.
We did not do that with communism-socialism and we aren’t doing that with Islam either.
I totally agree.
HOORAY Jeff!
When the default doctrine is the Quran, the hadiths, Islamic jurisprudence throughout centuries - and your commandments are carried out by current members of your collective on a daily basis, why fear an upstart republic when all others have come and gone or are currently undergoing fundamental transformation by like-minded totalitarians?
Life, liberty and the pursuit and destruction of totalitarians.

I think as Americans, we should attack all American Muslims because of the Afghani Muslims attacking US Servicemen for the Koran burning that was done I.A.W. the required Islamic procedures for Muslim’s writing in a Koran which is forbidden and requires they be disposed of by burning. Or simply attack Obama, who’s also Muslim which would be far more fun. (sarc for those actually thought otherwise).
On the other hand we could all have keg parties along with a weekly pig roastsand burn Korans just for the hell of it.
I like the guy.
No, we should just abjectly defeat the Islamic funamental enemy.
In this country, IMHO, any mosque that openly proclaims, pushes or supports Sharia Law should lose its religious protection, be labled the anti-American ideological/political institution that it is, and then be strongly investigated to the hilt for any form of sedition on ties to known terror groups.
If any are found, the leaders of said Mosque should be arrested, depepnding on the strength of and type of ties to terror, as enemy combatants and held, interrogated and tried as such.
Any muslim that whole sale rejects Sharia Law and Radical Islam and Jihad, and who is willing to defend the constitution of the United States and liberty, should be treated as a friend and an ally in the fight until and unless they prove otherwise...then they are traitors, plain and simple.
Obama been laudin’ them Taliban he’s not going to take our side.
