"Theres nothing theres no gift, no Christmas gift, that could be given better than Rick Santorum to the Democrats, "
I agree with Trump 100% on that statement.
I also believe that as folks see what a dunce Santorum is over the next couple of weeks he'll drop 20 points in the polls.
He'll keep his base of 20% of the GOP electorate.

Trump — the casino king, wife dumper, and general sleazoid — doesn’t like social conservatives.

Trump doing the dirty work for Mittens. If Romney is elected he better payback Trump because his election will be saved by him. Trump for VP?

Theres nothing theres no gift, no Christmas gift, that could be given better than Rick Santorum to the Democrats, Excepting, of course, Myth Romney and Donald Trump.

Remember when Trump said in an interview that his investigators in Hawaii had unearthed some astounding information about Obama’s past and we would have to wait to see it? Then he went back to the Apprentice Show. But lately he appears as the source of Republican candidate authority ("Please pick me Don")and he never gets called on his past claims. Heck, maybe RS could win in a landslide if only Don released all that 'incriminating' evidence he claimed to have found on Obama.
Don't forget, Trump endorsed Romney not Newt.

Trump is trying his best to keep himself in the news when he’s completely irrelevant. Soon after he endorsed Romney, Romney got thrashed in a trifecta win for Santorum. Why does anyone care what Trump thinks?

Theres nothing theres no gift, no Christmas gift, that could be given better than Rick Santorum to the Democrats, Trump said in a radio interview which aired in Michigan.
So does Trump favor Santorum as a Rep Candidate or oppose?
Trump backs a lot of prominent libs so it's hard to tell....

Santorum as the nominee spells Certain Defeat and Obama’s second term and pro-aborts on Supreme Court.
No thanks. We need someone else.

We knew this was coming....eventually. Right? Santorum was not long going to be seen to be actually performing at the ballot box, and still continue to get a shell free field to play in. We knew that. No one likes it, but.....
Now, if Ricky would rustle up some gossip that he was more in tune with, and favorable toward, Newt Gingrich than the PA rumor mill has him strapped solidly to Romney’s back side, then I could pull open my symapthy drawer, but until Ricky gets some conservative cred to make up for his un-extraordinary conservative legislative record, which screamed moderate, then for awhile longer I leave him twisting in the wind.
The only conservative bono fidis vein in the Santorum is on the family issues. After that, it’s union all the way, baby.

I have to echo some of the other comments:
Why on earth would any sane person give "anti-Santorum" weight to the words of a man who has endorsed Mitt Romney? If he were so worried about Gingrich's standing, wouldn't Trump have endorsed Gingrich?
Those who are applauding this move by Trump had better realize that they're giving de facto applause to the Romney campaign.

It is time for Donald Trump, the phoney windbag to take a hike. And it is time that the Fox network, once a voice for conservatism, but no longer, stop giving Donald the jerk a forun for his rants.

Rasmussen Reports Today: In a potential Election 2012 matchup, the president leads Mitt Romney by a 46% to 42% margin. If Rick Santorum is the Republican nominee, the president leads 47% to 44%.
Santorum is doing a little better against Obama than Romney. Plus Santorum never passed Obamneycare, which is what will defeat Obama, provided that we don't nominate Romney. You do not even want to get me started on how poorly New Gingrich is doing head-to-head against Obama.

Trump wants to tell us about gifts to democrats? He ought to know a little about that:
http://www.newsmeat.com/billionaire_political_donations/Donald_Trump.php
Sure he has given to some republicans, but he has been a good friend of the democrats, too.
He has given thousands to Schumer, Reid, Specter, Weiner, Clinton and Gillibrand.
Here is a rough summary of his giving to various campaigns:
$184,650* Republican
$252,900 Democrat
$376,083 special interest
total: $813,633
Whatever, Mr. Trump. Don’t preach to us about helping democrats.
