An association of gays in the military has more than doubled its membership since last year, is setting up more on-base chapters, and plans to hold its next national conference at a Defense Department resort at Walt Disney World.
The expansion of the group OutServe in the five months since the repeal of the Pentagon’s ban on open gays shows how a steady stream of service members are coming out of the closet and are becoming better organized to achieve demands for more benefits.

Elaine Donnelly, who heads the Center for Military Readiness and worked to keep the ban, said OutServe is showing itself to be divisive.
“OutServe is a gay activist group using provocative tactics to advance their agenda in the military, and to establish themselves as a special interest group pushing self-serving demands,” Mrs. Donnelly said. “Special interest advocacy groups, which are inherently divisive, are not permitted for any other cohort in the military.”
Gay-rights groups have listed a number of post-ban demands, including allowing cross-dressers and transsexuals to serve openly, and providing benefits for the spouses of gays.
The Pentagon said it cannot provide such benefits because of the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as involving one man and one woman.

I knew that doing away with DADT was just the beginning. The homosexuals are out to do to the military the same thing that they did to our schools and churches. Total destruction. The lawyers are drooling just thinking about all of the lawsuits we are about to see being brought against the military. Unfortunately for the taxpayers, the federal government hires the worst lawyers available to fight for the taxpayers. We’ll be throwing money at the homosexual crowd faster than Barry can print it.
I don’t believe in ANY social organization of any active duty troops, for ANY purpose.
Their social organization IS their military service.
It is NOT a democracy and it’s not even an open society. It’s closed to all but its own members and rank & command, not democracy determine its operations and activity. That is as it must be.
“Social organization” into memnership groups by “interest” leads only to balkanization of the loyalties of those who serve.
I am not saying that INDIVIDUALS do not have, do not need to have some INDIVIDUAL expression of their INDIVIDUAL interests (religious or otherwise), but organizing into groups around those interests is NOT healthy, for and within the military.
The success of the military mission DEPENDS on unit cohesion and all the troops aligning their loyalties to each other in that mission.
Social organization into membership groups by interest within the ranks creates sources of disunity and division.
It should be universally banned.
I absolutely agree and was glad to see Elaine Donnelly point out that the military is making an exception for this “OutServe” group. This should not stand and military leaders should shut it down immediately, of course that won’t happen with Zer0 as CinC.
Homosexuals in the mil. already were causing huge problems even before the repeal of DADT. Huge problem. Homosexuals should not be in the mil, “out” or “not out”. Ask, tell, and out the door if the answer is wrong should be the policy.
We have to get back to decency and basic morality. It will happen. But my tagline says what I think.

I thought it was about duty,honor,discipline and courage and not “I want special privileges".
I thought serving America meant putting America above oneself.

Why has not all states now got the marriage amendment on the ballot?
Why has not all freepers or conservatives or even republicans not got on the phone , wrote letters etc and demand that they stop this and Holder to do his job?
it’s time for the republicans to get a backbone , voters and the establishment, throw out these infiltrators in the GOP, get a candidate who will stop this madness and put the military back how it was before PC.

Yes, because they have selectively chosen to listen to only that which agrees with what they already think. This leads me to something else that I have said for several years now: They will ONLY learn the hard way. Unfortunately, we will all suffer during their learning.

And when homosexuals get in positions of influence, they do exactly as you say - they do everything within their power to promote the “gay” agenda, hiring, appointing, creating sensitivity/etc boards, agendas and so on. For 2% or less of the population they wield tremendous power.
The real question is WHY.
1. Those already in positions of power are morally corrupt one way or another.
2. Others who are not morally corrupt are moral cowards.
3. Those of the public who should have spoken up were cowards.
I can’t see any other option. I will not shut up though, and the more of us who see the truth and start shouting louder and louder - well, at least we know we’ve done whatever we can do. I’d rather have my conscience peaceful even if my small contribution doesn’t have much effect. Sooner or later truth will win. A disgustingly corrupt, venal and perverted country will collapse, and we can start again.

They have become teachers,, lawyers, look at the shrinks which said it was not a mental illness , got elected and then tried to get into the boy scouts, that failed but they got into the girl scouts, became ministers in church, went to church and became friendly with the congregation and then once they establish friendship and trust they tell their new found friends what they are.
They now have infiltrated the military and now not only the Dems but now the GOP.
This sheriff was nothing more than a look at me on FOX, he and others got into the GOP and now will destroy the GOP from the inside.
They re on here lurking, taking names, posing on their sites who to become friendly with and who not and then will try to separate certain conservatives from others.
