I do however believe a gay man or most likely a gay woman could win a Republican primary...if they had a strong passion for important issues and didnt spend much time talking about homosexuality. If they didnt build their campaign around their lifestyle, someone could pull it off.

Most people never stop to think about where the old phrase “Caught with a dead girl or a live boy” came from. It came from Politicians being caught with dead girls and live (IE Homosexual) ‘boys’.
The incentive for a closeted or even open homosexual to give in to blackmail is myriad. Thats why Sec clearances were only given to the most ‘stable’ and upstanding - once upon a time. One practically had to out-straight and narrow the Pope to get one. Today, they are seemingly given for the opposite - and so you get compromised/compromisable people in positions they ought not be in.

Homosexuality did not stop being a risk to national security, militarily or in the civilian political world just because of ‘PC’. Sure there are and have always been homosexuals in both. And look at Bradley Manning and the hell his little snit fit wrought. Over homosexuality.
They need help, not elected positions. We cannot afford the risk. It colors their thinking on everything.

Sheriff Babeu stated that the whole article was untrue; only fact was true that he is gay.

The extortion allegation is from a story in Phoenix New Times, a hippie “alternative” free paper. I didn’t know that this rich source of pot ads and local restaurant reviews had suddenly become holy writ among Republicans.
