Officer Peters, who fired the fatal shot, has been involved in seven shootings over the past decade. Six of those have been fatal, and all have been ruled justified.
One trigger happy cop!
That cop probably also subscribes to the William Money theory of shooting people:
Bystander: You just shot an unarmed man!
Money: Well he should have armed himself.
(The Unforgiven, Clint Eastwood)of course.
Do we have this confirmed from a news source that’s not horrible. These guys can’t keep anything straight, the victim has at least 3 different names in the story (Loxas, Lozas and Loax that I saw), then there’s this beautiful nugget: “Peters first killed a suspect in 2002, as a member of a SWAT team. This was the one non-fatal shooting he was involved in.” Wha? By that point in the story I’m not willing to believe this newspaper on up and down, because I’m pretty sure they don’t know the difference.
There needs to be an emergency number to call other than 911, that summons armed friends an neighbors to your aid...whether you need assistance with either burglars or gutless psychopaths.
I have lived next door to white trash who would happily put their cans right in the middle of the sidewalk to piss off neighbors, and left a POS car in front of my house for weeks with a flat tire.
Good chance this guy had had it with the trash next door and had a history of confronting them himself, finding the cops probably would do nothing. Still, if he was armed patrolling the sidewalk, no excuse, inviting trouble.
Trigger happy cop. Hope he gets what he deserves.
Roid Rage.
Policeman like our Military are expected to face danger each day with their hands tied behind them - i.e., do nothing until fired upon then fire back if you are still alive.
glad the rest of the story was posted about the hand gun and the shotgun. This guy did have a problem and looks like he used the kid as a shield to terrorize people
That's safe to say.
