(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) - An unarmed Arizona grandfather was blasted in the head this week by a police officer who killed the man because he "thought" he had a weapon. This was the particular officer's sixth fatal shooting in the line of duty, it happened Tuesday night in Scottsdale, "There were at least three officers in position to engage the suspect. At least one of the officers thought he saw something in the suspect's hands," Scottsdale Police Sgt. Mark Clark told Arizona's KPNX.

That simply is not true, but you are entitled to your own opinion.
You’re vouching for the media?
Do you have any links to the stats and studies that prove there is an increase in police brutality? I’d like to see the evidence upon which you are basing your claims.
As for this particular cop - what if he’s a good man doing a good job? Are you willing to ruin his career and life just to trash cops in general?
I know for a fact there are lots of good people serving as officers,I've met many in my life.
However I've had experience and seen people serving as officers who in no way should have the power of a badge and gun.
The media as you say is overrun by leftists and I do not trust them one bit.
You seem more and more to have an agenda on this issue,I have to assume you are an officer, married to one or have one in your family. That's good that you support good officers but there is always bad apples and it appears you wish to sweep that aspect under the carpet to protect someone.
As I said before you are entitled to your own opinion, the 1st amendment still applies, for today that is.
This was quite obviously a residential situation ~ and absent actual gunfire earlier there's little justification for shooting up the place.
In the end the man did not have a gun. Somebody lied about that. FRY HIM!
I have no cop connections at all.
I have stated my reasons for objecting to your unfair attack on a cop who is innocent until proven guilty.
You been challenged to support your claims, and you cannot.
You’ve been blowing smoke.
Worked near Ocean City for 35 years. Great with the wind but a beatch going the other way.( getting older every day )
Policeman like our Military are expected to face danger each day with their hands tied behind them - i.e., do nothing until fired upon then fire back if you are still alive.
Good description
I refuse to argue with fence posts,so have a wonderful day.
There is absolutely no doubt who shot the man.
glad the rest of the story was posted about the hand gun and the shotgun. This guy did have a problem and looks like he used the kid as a shield to terrorize people
Why are you pretending that is at issue?
What should cops do when they know a man is carrying a gun and a baby around the neighborhood and he refuses to obey the police once they arrive?
Do cops, and normal people, think he was reaching for a gun by the door, or even going in the house to hold the baby hostage?
We must respect the cop’s decision until we have proof that he did something wrong. If we can’t do that, then we should not send cops to resolve these problems.
Threads on FR hating this cop and all cops denigrates FR. It is not conservative behavior.
Sounds like he was killed by the neighbors eh~just call in the cops and they'll shoot anybody you say has a gun.
You are avoiding the crunch:
Do you let him reenter the home with the baby?
Yeah, we blow a hole in his head ~
You got a picture of him with a gun in his hand, or is that a baby?
Did you know that in the last 35 years Fairfax County VA, which has had half a mil to a million people, has not had 7 instances of need for a sniper. This place has a WELL PRACTICED sniper. In proportion to the population........
....... to the population, I'd have to say it's a third-world hellhole.
Just guessing that you live there.
I see a couple ~ maybe three lawsuits the city is going to lose over this ~ and Peters probably ought to move out of that community and go somewhere else ~ NOT HERE THOUGH. We don't need his kind.
You failed the crunch decision, LOL. I guess you let the crazy man, who is carrying a baby, go back into his house.
Then let’s tell the police to not respond to such 911 calls.
Only value I can see in this is that if you live in a tough neighborhood and get too out of hand the cops, there, will be happy to send someone out to kill you without further question.
So, instead of "dropping a dime" on somebody now we get "dropping a nine one one".
That's safe to say.
You have to ask? Hell, they rubbed him out first thing.
