Actually, his wife placed some cards on the podium, but all good speakers use cards to keep the presentation orderly.
My only gripe with his speech was when he promised to push a bill through congress to remove Bernanke. Newt knows that bills of attainder are forbidden in the constitution.
Otherwise he was right on the mark.

Live in denial.
Santorum’s record is one of a died in the wool socialist, and establishment tool.
He declared his “conservatism” over 70 times in his speech, but failed to give us even one concrete example (of course Romney did the same over 120 times)
Newt gave us the examples, and made solid promises that the two pretenders did not.
