Voter confidence in President Obamas handling of the economy is at its highest level in a years time. Thats in line with the recent upticks in overall economic confidence and in Obamas job approval ratings as measured by the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.
Forty percent (40%) of Likely U.S. Voters now rate the presidents performance in the economic area as good or excellent, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Thats up from 36% a week ago and is the highest positive finding since the first week in February 2011. Obama seldom has cracked the 40% mark in regular surveying since the first year of his presidency.
The surveys of 1,000 Likely Voters each were conducted February 4-5, 2012 and February 6-7, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Gotta love that white guilt still creeping up on a lot of Americans. They just can’t bring themselves to blame the Kenyan. It’s really a shame a petty wannabe-dictator like Obama can get away with
The coming extreme depression and unrest in the streets will hopefully shake some Americans from their slumber.
I don’t THINK SO!
(typical democrat voter: Who was this Bush guy they keep aksing me about??)
LOL!!!!!!
The right question to be asking is....”does Obama have what it takes to fix the economt?”
The Economy was FINE under Bush until Nancy Pelosi and the democrats took over Congress. Then, every other sentence out of her mouth began with “The failed Bush Administration” and they spent us into (what was at that time) a big hole.
The Obama took office and they spent us into an even BIGGER hole- and NO ONE said the $1.4 Trillion dollar stimulus was AN ANUAL AMOUNT (we thought it was a one time deal)
AND MADE THE ECONOMY WORSE!!!
And not one single Republican will stand up to the media and say so.
Bohner is a CRYBABY WIMP compared to Nazi Pelosi.
I have taken my own poll and most everyone I spoke too says we have to get rid of the Muslim in the White House.
Tokyo Rove’s triangulation and Jorge’s Compassionate Conservatism. Two bad ideas whose gifts keep on giving.
I agree with everything you stated, including the fact that the current batch of Republican politicians have the backbone and passion of mold.
It’s the demorat house since 2006. It’s not Obama vs. Bush.
Ok, I must be blind, where is GW Bush’s name even mentioned in the survey questions or the story?
Oh and I do not beleive that many approve of BHO’s economy.
“That’s because the stupid Republicans “....
Calling the Republicans stupid is giving them more credit intellectually than they deserve.....
This propaganda is still working while Barack Obama is stealthy Communizing the nation through his unions, Executive orders and his Czar’s working under the radar. George Bush was a saint next to this Marxist.

Strike Against Tuition! Strike Against Tuition! Strike Against Tuition! All university students! Boycott the universities this coming Fall! Throw off the jackboot of the overpaid professor that is on your throat! Tuition must be reduced by 75%! No more financial raping of the American university students by the plantation-owner massah professors!
“Hell no!
You can’t go!
You can’t go to Mexico!
Down with the fat-cat professors!”
The GOP continues to pay a heavy price for electing the BIG SPENDING, compassionate socialist W. And the GOP still has not learned it’s lesson with big spending socialists like Romney and Santorum leading in the polls. GOPe wins again.
What a stupid report and ridiculous premise.
The sharp decline in the economy and increase in spending skyrocketed in the middle of Bush’s 2nd term when the dems took over congress.
This poll shows two things: the MSM is still powerful and controls the narrative on a lot of national issues and a big chunk of the American public is ignorant.
Here is the question from the survey mentioning the Bush Administration.
“1* Some people say the nations current economic problems are due to the recession which began under the Bush Administration. Others say the problems are being caused more by the policies President Obama has put in place since taking office. Which point of view comes closest to your own?
Republicans must live with the failures (imagined or otherwise) of GWB just as they had to live with the failures of Hoover for 20 years after the fact. The fact that the economy collapsed while GWB and his Keynesian advisors ignored the problems of piling debts on debts and ballooning real property prices doomed to explode will be hard for the republicans to live down.
The fact that Obama is pursuing the same failed remedies as GWB is being ignored until such time a the economy collapses again.
