The talking heads don’t live in PA. Santorum lost to Casey because of a lot of “other” reasons. Casey’s father was a popular pro-life governor who had recently passed away and a lot of Conservatives were upset because Santorum remained loyal to the party and endorsed Specter. There was also a lot of sentiment to rebuke Bush, and Santorum suffered for it.

Not to mention the dirty games played by KDKA before the election in regards to Senator Santorum's residency.
