Last night's Dorito's ad was apparently meant to be "funny". A dog seems to be responsible for a missing cat's disappearance and he bribes a guy with Doritos to keep silent.
If we find this offensive, are we too sensitive? Is it wrong to request Doritos to kill this ad? They suggest the dog killed and buried the cat , or even worse. My best friend's cat was killed by a dog a few year's ago.
Too cute!
Here is the hot water McDonald’s just got itself out of for merely suggesting that it’s not a good idea to pet stray pit bulls:

Then again, pit bull owners are a core McDonald’s market and an exceptionally aggressive bunch in their own right.
The idea of it. And thanks for the slam. Appreciate it. Are you sure you’re not on the correct site? Maybe KOS is looking for someone like you.

Poor little chickens.
The insulting replies to this post about the Dorito’s commercial where a Great Dane kills a cat are awful. Even if you do not agree with the poster, each of the replies mocks the poster’s concern and insults the poster as well. Can you not tolerate differences of opinion? And caring about a commercial that makes light of violence like that is so over the top that it inspires a free for all group of aggressive taunts? If you disagree, why not state why, but have respect for the poster. And why did the poster have to add, “or are we too sensitive” as if in anticipation of a verbal onslaught or embarrassment about being offended.
I too was upset by the commercial as was my family. It just happens that a week ago a friend’s golden retriever attacked out cat in our house and although we got the cat away from him, she was left with internal injuries and inability to walk. It was a brutal scene to observe. The dog is just an animal and we did not blame him or our friends (we had put our cat in a bedroom while the dog visited, but she got out without our knowledge). But, especially after viewing that, but even if i had never witnessed a dog attacking a cat, I would never imagine that it would be a humorous subject. There is so much animal cruelty, so creating a commercial like that undermines efforts to make violence against animals a serious topic.
If you reply to my post, I would appreciate if you would avoid personal attacks or ridicule. Thanks.
I can assure you the Great Dane in the Commercial had no idea what he was doing holding the bag of Doritos in his mouth. Only his trainer, or the CGI guy, would have any idea what the joke was. Again, it was a joke...
In other words, this whole thing s a tempest in a teapot. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with your Cat being attacked by a Dog, but nature is cruel. We have Coyotes killing Cats around here all the time.
No worse than the Chik-Fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin” ads.
