What does Mitt Romney gain from Donald Trump endorsement?
One of the two or both are thinking that this will be some kind of signal to business and industry that Mitt is the one in whom they should place their trust; however, Trump is to business and industry what the P.T. Barnum aspects of entertainment is to society at large. Both exist and prosper to the extent that industry or society is doing well, but neither industry or society is doing well because Trump or Barnum exist.

Hmmm...I think a better question is; ‘what will Trump lose after endorsing OBomney?’

I have been following the case, but it is not main stream and I doubt in the end it will make a difference.
With all the rulings of 0bamacare as unConstitutional won’t stop implementation next year...what is a GA ruling going to do to actually stop 0bama.
They don’t care at this point and no...some sorry GA ruling isn’t going to stop them at this point.
The BC issue is just a mile marker on our way to hell.

After listening to Trump speak many times on TV news shows, and on Hannity a thousand times, it really just doesn't add up that he chose Romney simply because he thinks he's the best candidate. There has to be some other reason. I think Newt would have gotten more positives from a Trump endorsement. I think Romney gets negatives.
It just looks like one rich white billionaire in cahoots with another.

Assurance that Trump wont run 3rd Party.....mostlyhe article hit it square on - Romney was Larry to Trump's Moe.
When I heard the spinning arrow had stopped on Mitt for the endorsement, I couldn't help wonder if Trump wasn't trying to act a spoiler to have a bigger influence down the road - I was assuming that he knew that more people would look upon his endoresement as unfavorable rather than favorable to whoever he endorsed. It would be interesting how many would have considered it a positive/negative if Newt had been chosen as the vehicle to get the Donald's face on the screen.

I was about to say less votes but you make a good point, they promise Trump some way he can make a few more million, ease up on restrictions for his business etc and then they know he cannot run third party.
Trump , only the idiots out there thought he was a republican anyway.

Since the story was floated that Trump would be endorsing Gingrich, it’s a subtle jab from the Romney camp.

Uh...his ego shield him from any such perceptions.

What does Mitt Romney gain from Donald Trump endorsement? He gets to hold a wolf by the ears. Reliable scuttlebutt I've often heard is that Trump dislikes Romney personally. That is way more than you need to get dinged by Donald Trump.

Trump made a fool of himself yesterday. First Romney dissed him on the debate and then Romney kept the announcement as short as he could to keep the notoriety to a minimum and now is distancing himself from Trump.
To: CynicalBear
I would have gained some respect for Romney had he told Trump to f**k off. The party needs to rid itself of this self-promoting ass-clown.

I watched a half hour of a CNN show last night (keep your friends close your enemies closer type thing). Candy Crowley was interviewing Trump, and played older clips of him trashing Romney. Too funny.

YAWN. Neither are Conservatives, so why would anyone here care? For that matter why would anyone care?
