"See below what I received from FNC Carl Cameron! This is really wild! More possible Florida election problems?"

Tampa, FL — Florida’s primary might not be over just yet.

The Newt Gingrich campaign is gearing up to challenge the results of the florida primary based on the Republican National Committee’s own rules which state that no contest can be winner take all prior to April 1, 2012. (See attached RNC memo.)

The Gingrich campaign plans to challenge Florida’s winner take all status & demand proportional allocation of delegates.

Fox News has learned that Thursday, a Florida Gingrich campaign official will begin the process of trying to have the RNC rules enforced so that the Sunshine State delegates are proportionately allocated.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus warned Florida Republican Party Chairman Lenny Curry of the violation in a December letter quoting the rule, “…’winner-take-all’ states cannot hold a primary or caucus before April 1, 2012.”

I’m a lawyer, and I never “shyst” anyone. If anything, I undercharge everyone, I never use immoral or unethical tactics, I always go for the win/win when possible, and yet, when my client’s cause requires it, I do fight with everything I’ve got to make justice happen. No apologies.

Newt may be the conservative we hire to get in there and lead the charge against the WH Occupier in Chief, but Newt will do the job we hire him to do. That was the whole point of why the Founders designed the system the way they did. It was designed to work with imperfect people, whose flaws could be overcome, to the benefit of the American people, if they could be held accountable, with rewards for being responsive to the people, and punishments for drifting off into elitism. Newt can do this. We hire him, he fights for us, and we keep an eye on him. That’s how its supposed to work. Trust but verify. It’s the American way.

The answer to following the rules wouldn't be a proportional distribution of delegates, but a voiding of the results unless, prior to the primary, Florida had already had it on the books that it was no longer a 'winner-take-all' state.

I think that would mean that Romney is trying to get delegates from the two counties he won? IF true, then FL should be proportional also.

Let me see if I understand this. Delegates would be proportional to the counties you won? Newt won all but two counties in SC. In FL, I think he won more counties.

Here’s my contribution:
membership@rnchq.org
To Reince Priebus:

I have been a lifelong Republican and am also a Conservative activist.
I have donated funds to the RNC and other GOP groups for years in addition to working to help elect Conservative/GOP candidates to office.

I will no longer give any contributions to the RNC nor support it in any way if Mitt Romney is our nominee.
He is not Conservative and more importantly, he has shown his true colors in Fla. with his negative campaigning.
He is a mean spirited and unlikable man...and he would govern with liberal ideas.
I believe that under his presidency, our country would continue to decline and American’s exceptionalism would be in as much danger as it is under Obama.
It will be a sad state of affairs if our party refuses to stay true to our founding fathers and Constitutional core.
Newt is my preference right now. I hope he wins tonight in Fla. despite the predictions.

For the first time in my adult voting life, I will do something that I never thought possible if Romney is our choice in Nov.
I will not vote for POTUS. If like minded Conservatives follow suit, then the GOP will be in for a huge wake up call, won’t it?
For now, I plan to channel my efforts locally and statewide, especially for Scott Walker, in my home state of Wisconsin.

Do you know if the Mormon teachings include Grace?

mormonISM uses the word grace, but does not have the same meaning as Grace in the Biblical sense. lds must work for their salvation. IE after all we can do

Very similar situation here Mary. Now when they call for dad or I they get an earful

When we get mail asking for a donation, I no longer ignor or write we only give to individual and candidates and return. From now on I’m putting two pennies in and returning it. It will automatically trigger more requests for money and each time they’ll get my two cents worth. (I suppose you could look at is from the viewpoint of the Biblical woman giving her two coins too)

Until the GO PEe starts listening to fly over country and not just the NE part of the country that will be my responce...Maybe I should send that message over the net.

I would assume so. If FL is forced to go to proportional then I’m sure Mitt would argue that all 99 should be awarded. Which would put the delegate count at something like 59 Romney - 40 Gingrich (most states have a 15% or 20% threshold).

Now yes 40-59 is better than 0-50.
NH was proportional with a 10% threshold.

More evidence that Newt is an entrenched politician all of the way thru. I will never understand why the establishment loves him so.

Ummmm...did you mean to say "I will never understand why the establishment loves him MITT so?

you gotta say that the guy has cajones and is not afraid to take on his own party.

Just like Sarah did in Alaska. We know why they are hated by the GOP E.

I felt the need to stand up for my principles and not just do it privately. I have been selling myself short and compromising for the sake of “the Party” and I simply will not do that anymore
So many of us voted for Rino McCain with huge reservations. I didn’t just vote for him. I worked as a volunteer on his campaign. What a disaster and waste of time.

I am so grateful for supportive freepers because I would feel like I was crazy if I didn’t have you guys for validation. Well, even so, it’s felt surreal the last couple of months.

I cannot tell you how intense the reaction to my letter has been..bordering on vicious comments from supposed “friends” claiming that if I don’t support WHOMEVER the nominee is, especially Mittens, I am a traitor.

These GOP elistists are so stupid. They are focused like a laser on the presidency only and have no idea that Mittens is extremely beatable..
Finally, do they not realize that we can get involved in other ways and help Conservatives get elected in local and state races?
These “big whigs” are the ones who don’t do jack squat except to order people around and try to act important.
