Read a poll here on FR last night, Posted by another FReeper, and had a hard time sleeping. I woke up this morning with a couple of questions:
1. When 34% of the Tea Partiers polled are going for Romney, Paul or no one in FL today, what the hell is going on?
2. When many Evangelicals are voting for a Marxist Mormon today in FL, what the hell is going on?
I'm to the point that I've decided that most voters in America are stupid and this nation deserves what it will get with four more years of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House. So, let the good times roll, mama. To hell with all of them.
Thank you for your well-wishes but, you and I both know that whomever wins FL, will be the nominee. The States that soon follow FL (immediately after) are “Mitt friendly”. Now, if Newt finishes say within 5%, that might be a different story.
Thanks again for your “counsel”.
It all depends on who’s counting the votes....
I will go to my grave believing that they cheated in Nevada.
Agree,david.
People say a third party will never be successful.
Watch us.
“Im a 61 yr old conservative woman.....”
Learn something new everyday. :)
NO TO MITTENS.
Well, here's hoping that the 50% who have gotten over Newt's baggage are both vocal about it and persuasive:
The GOP Elitists “think” the Party will come together after the Primary. She does not know that after George H.W., Bob Dole, George W., John McCain......we Conservatives have had it with the Establishment candidate losing 3 out of 4 Elections.
If RINO-Rom is the nominee, I’m looking at a Third Party.

“Thats very true. In addition, I am relatively active with the local R party, and based on my conversations I have noticed that many conservative R women (I am talking about long-term conservative, Republican, strong family values, very politically aware types) find Newts personal life over the past 15 years, in particular his second divorce and third wife, to be repulsive. I am not defending that view; thats just my observation. Family stability, commitment to a wife, etc. are important values to this class of voters. I am convinced Newts past is costing him 10 to 15 percent of the primary vote in the Southern states.”
Sadly, you are probably right. So, what will they be doing? Giving us a choice between two men who are - as far as anyone knows - faithful to their wives: Obama and Romney. They will be giving us a choice of one who is as anti-life, anti-traditional marriage, anti-children, etc. as can be imagined and the other who tells us that he is no longer anti-life, anti-traditional marriage, anti-(other peoples’) children, whose cultural roots are in an organization, the LDS, whose history is supportive of all that he now claims to be against, and racist to boot.
Elections should be about policy, programs, philosophy, and not things personal. In saying that I am not saying that character doesn’t matter. But are people stupid enough to think that they actually know any of these men well enough to judge their character, good or bad?
Again, Obama’s policies are indistinguishable from that of a hard leftist who is trying to destroy the nation from within. That’s all I need to know. Romney’s policies, past and present, are indistinguishable from that of any ambitious, light-on-principles climber who just wants his hands on the levers of power. That’s all I need to know.
When all is said and done, if Obama wins, America’s people will continue to be little Barry’s ant farm experiment. If Romney wins, America’s people will be the family dog tied to the roof of his presidential limo.
Well, the only way anything good is going to come out of any of this is if the way this GOP primary has gone finally wakes conservatives up to the fact that it is time for something COMPLETELY different.
Someone postulated on another thread that there are probably women out there opposed to Newt because his wife uses too much hair spray...there are a few RINO women like that around New England.
You’re right. It is extremely disturbing to find that some “conservatives” are actually not and even are supporting elitists. This election cycle has been VERY revealing.
I think you are right.
New England women prefer pro-abortion candidates to one married to a 'home wrecking whore'...
Go figure.
“I will NOT vote for liberal Romney. Ever. Liberals like him are destroying the fabric of our society with liberal judges pushing homosexuality and abortion. Romney IS Obama.”
I agree completely (but that is not the topic of this thread).
The comment to the topic is as follows: I think a small fraction of voters can’t get over the 6 years of marital infidelity. Several times this season I have heard it mentioned in conversations without solicitation. In addition, the comments seem to mention Newts repulsive wife (slept with the powerful, more senior married politician for over 6 years).
As you repeatedly bring Romney up, I offer the following, borrowed with permission from LibLieSlayer:
I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR THAT BABY KILLING, KENNEDY KISSING, CORRUPT COPORATE RAIDER, GUN GRABBING, DOG ABUSING, DRAFT DODGING, AMATEUR RADIO HATING, BIG DIG DIRTBALL, REAGAN DENYING, CLINTON LOVING, SOCIALIST MEDICINE EMBRACING, TRAITOR Romney!
Because if they're actually conservative, they'll have to fight not only competitors and the media but the GOP-e?
kook paul has always been a vote splitter. He keeps.....the effete elites in power.

The same can be said for Santorum. He gave us Specter over Toomey in PA. Now, he’s giving us RINO-Rom over Gingrich. Santorum is one of the GOP Establishment.

Excuse me, but yes there is. In fact, there are two: a) The conservative vote is being divided, thus opening the way for Romney. b) Newt is getting a far greater share of the voters, and has been for a while. Done. Easy wasn’t it? And logical.
As the Boss says, “WE are the resistance”.
