I am calling all praying Freepers, Jewish and Christian, to this thread...as a place to gather to offer our prayers to God's Heavenly Throne for prayer for our nation. For prayers for Newt Gingrich, that he can withstand the forces of evil that are surrounding him.
Obama's acting like a dictator. Romney's just plain being mean. Some of the talk show hosts are disappointing us. Yet WE, few but mighty, can help our country and Mr. Gingrich through prayer. It's MY belief that we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place had we all been doing just that.
As I said in the first thread, this is a PRAYER thread...please come here to offer them to God. We need His help SO badldy. We've failed Him by allowing the leftists to chip away at our society. We've not gotten on our knees and asked for forgiveness for our sins.

Then, after they had so many kings who did not "follow after" the Lord, He promised them a King who would reign forever. And we know how well they received Him!
IOW, we as a nation best be careful what we "ask for". If enough of us insist upon having a government that "plays the nanny", God just might give us what we have demanded. Until we realize that being governed by a "nanny" makes life a total (and totalitarian) B.....!
God may not always intervene, but I will on an FR prayer thread with a righteous portion of Troll-B-Gone!

We are asking, oh God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that you remember with favor that nation which has been the greatest friend to modern Israel. We ask that You hear the promise of Speaker Gingrich to move our embassy to Jerusalem--Your City--and that You would bless those who would bless the chosen children of Abraham.
Deliver us from the rule of pagans and false religions.
May the Truth of Your only Inspired written Source--found in the Law, Prophets and the Writings and in the New Testament--be the foundation and guide for everything we do henceforth.
Using flawed but repentant vessels, lift America up and heal our land
Look upon this nation with unmerited favor one last time.

I lift this prayer up for Newt - especially verse #11.
Psalm 116
1 I love the LORD because HE HEARS and ANSWERS my prayers.
2 Because He bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath!
3 Death had its hands around my throat; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: “Please, LORD, save me!”
5 How kind the LORD is! How good HE is! So merciful, this God of ours!
6 The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and then he saved me.
7 Now I can rest again, for the LORD has been so good to me.
8 He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

10 I believed in YOU, so I prayed, “I am deeply troubled, LORD.”

I also lift up this Psalm for Newt and for those of us who feel distressed and perhaps overwhelmed by the current state of the country, the evil that abounds, and the events of the past two weeks. This Psalm reminds me that God is in control. God bless all on this prayer thread - your fellowship has been a comfort. Amen and Amen to all the prayers offered here. God knew everything we would need and how the wicked would come against us, personally, and as a nation for His sake! And HIS WORDS are a comfort for us as we stand on Them, believe Them, fill our hearts with Them and never be shaken! “Faith comes from hearing and hearing The Word of God”. Romans 10:17
God bless Newt and all those who stand with him despite the snares of the evil one.
Well be fair. Sometimes he whispers instead of screaming in our ears while banging our heads on the table.
Yes. God hears and answers but we don’t always pray as we ought nor hear as we ought. God is never to blame. For God so loved...

Hey, God?
You want your people to be free.
To worship you as they should.
Yet to do that, they need to be free.
You brought your people out of Egypt.
You sustained your people during the Roman Circuses.
Yours IS the will.
We ask for little.
You owe us nothing while we owe you everything.
Yet, we dare ask from your love.
Sustain our warrior.
He is not perfect, like any person of flesh.
Yet he is our last hope for liberty.

Maybe they didn’t pray or perhaps they prayed to a false god. I believe my prayers have been answered before and believe Jesus is my Lord and Savoir. I trust in Him. Maybe he won’t intervene in this election but even so it will not diminish my faith. I will continue to pray.
