'If it comes down to Romney vs. Obama (socialist vs. socialist), what will you do?'

Keep working to make sure that doesn't happen.

If Romney is on the ballot, we’ll leave the Presidential selection blank (or write in somebody). Looks like we’ll have Snowe also so that will be blank. Can’t and won’t vote for either of them.

I held my nose for the last time. I am not voting for Romney. Not because he is a RINO, but because he is scum. I may come around at the last moment to vote against Obama, but unlikely.

Newt as the titular head of a new Conservative Party, to hell with fear as to what it will cause to the Republican Party , Mitt has as much chance to become President as a snowball does from not melting in hell.

If it is Romney vs. Obama, I’ll write in someone like Palin or Newt in the Presidential space. To me, I’d rather have a socialist Democrat ruin the country and allow the Republican party one last chance at righting itself. Personally, though, I think the gop and America has tipped too far to the socialist side. Like many have stated, I didn’t leave my values, the party that I used to think supported my values left me.

Two months ago I could have been persuaded to vote for Romney if he was the nominee. But I today think he’s despicable and I can’t vote for him.
And I’m getting tired of talk show hosts assuming that I’m going to vote for whoever the nominee is. And warning me in grave tones about the dangers of not voting at all and handing the next four years to Obama. I heard Levin tell a caller who said he couldn’t vote for Romney not to “go there.” Why not? We’re not your robots.

Romney v. Obama - I withhold vote for all establishment GOP. Down-ballot effect intended to be a negative “endorsement” of the GOP as a whole.

IMO, half the forum will hold their nose and you-know-what and the other half won't.

I'll be in the half buying clothespins because I don't plan to roll over and give President Dithers an easy win. Let him fight for it.

I'm sure the other half will tell you their plans.

If Romney is crammed down my throat by the GOP establishment, I think its time to think about laying the groundwork for a Conservative alternative from the grassroots/local level on up. If the GOP can’t be reformed to better represent the voters, and be committed to be the opposition not the enablers, I’m done with it.

I vote in Texas. If Romney is all that is left standing when it comes time for me to vote, there is something terribly wrong with the process. I can’t imagine a worse candidate to run under the GOP label than Romney. Its frightening that there are GOP insiders and bigwigs actively working on behalf of a candidate that proudly boasts of a government run health care system he created.

I see no benefit of destroying freedom and the GOP brand at the same time. Its no wonder most people see no difference between the two parties. With Romney and Obama, there is very little difference.

God Bless America.

I will leave the race unvoted on my ballot if it’s Mitt vs Sh!t.

IF Willard makes a good VP choice, I might change my mind on that. If Willard goes Huck-wild for VP... no way I’m voting that.

If Romney wins, I only vote for conservative candidates on the Federal level. That means if Thompson is the Republican nominee for US Senate in WI, I will not vote for him if Romney is at the top of the ticket. I will, however, vote in the state races.

What will you do when Newt and Sarah ask us to do it?

I will never vote for Romney. I will spend my time working for a new party. I am done with the republican party. When they viciously go after one of the own like this and directly and silently then I am done with them. I will change my registration as soon as the primary in NC is done, just in case Newt is still on it.

I'm not so sure that Romney will be the nominee. A lot will happen between now and the convention, so my hope is that Newt will be the nominee.

I voted for Newt in the primary, and I will absolutely not vote for Romney. I will throw my vote to a conservative pro-life candidate, either third party or write-in. We've already seen what we get when Romney is in charge.

If that were the case, I would not vote for either and do everything I could to ensure a Republican House and Senate.

Romney cannot beat Obama. Obama will still get 42% - 47% of the vote even from the liberals that hate him because they refuse to vote for something other than a Democrat.

Romney has about 20% and there is another 20% that has floated from Palin to Cain to Perry to Newt and Santorum THAT WILL NOT GO OVER TO ROMNEY.

To put my hypothesis is layman terms - we are screwed.

While the President in our system and particularly Obama’s system has tremendous power, the congress and the American people wield power as well. Vote TEA Party down-line in every instance, school board, city, county, etc. and let your voice be heard, locally and socially and we will win out.

DO not not vote for the (R). Obama is certain death.

A president can be held hostage by the will of the people.

I’ll vote in all the local and state elections. May write in Sarah or someone. NO to Mittens, NO to Paul and besides those 2 I can’t imagine there would be anyone if it wasn’t Newt.

If it is Romney vs. Obama, conservatives need to find and encourage a credible third-party candidate to run. If one does and gets a significant percentage of the vote, it will send a necessary message to the powers that be within the Republican party.

Romney will ultimate do more harm to conservatism than Obama. His Presidency will be the national disaster the Schwarzenegger governorship was for California.
