I agree with this. I have long said that, although Ron Paul is out beyond the orbit of Pluto on most issues, he is dead-center on-target about fiscal and Treasury matters.

Indeed, his proposals to cut $1 trillion from the national debt and eliminate five federal departments are bold ideas

***

Newt should pick up on this, and run hard with it.

I agree with her 100%. Grave reservations about his foreign policy, we all know the score there. But he is really the ONLY one who has been talking about the kind of deep, massive cuts that need to be made. No one else is even close to in his league there.

which is why Palin would’ve been the perfect candidate. She’s with Paul on the national issues but slightly different on the foreign affairs. None of the other gop candidates are serious with the spending and debt

Newt has been making overtures to Paul, too. Tea Party may need his delegates down the road. For instance, the GOP here in VA, under the guidance of Gov McDonnell has managed to lock everyone but Romney and Paul out of the primary. So the "stop Romney" forces here will have to vote for Ron Paul as no “write-ins” are allowed. It's amazing what the GOP elites are trying to do in this primary season. I hate Paul's foreign policy as well as some other issues; however, I will vote for him in the primary just to try to stop Romney from getting those delegates.

He has a bat sh*t crazy factor of about 1 trillion on the Guano scale. He will lose and needs to withdraw now.

Note that this is not an endorsement.

I suspect it’s more of an admission that it’s a sad thing that no one but Ron Paul is willing to talk about cutting expenses at the levels that are needed.

Rick Perry talked about cutting three departments of government, but unfortunately couldn’t remember which ones they were. He dropped the ball at least twice on it. We need to get serious about this.

I agree with her comments. They are not aimed at endorsing Paul, but more likely to remind the other candidates that the debt is really what they should be talking about.

The sweet lady from Alaska just dropped several notches on my confidence scale. I thought every Conservative knew what a fraud Ron Paul is when it comes to earmarks and government spending.

His little trick is to latch onto a bill that is a lead pipe cinch to PASS both houses; load that bill up with earmarks for HIS district, and then VOTE AGAINST IT. Voila! Plausible deniability! He can always claim he voted AGAINST that big spending bill.

I've listened to Gingrich's last two debates and the speech he just gave in Palm Beach FL. I've heard him talk about cutting taxes and regulations and repealing ObamaCare and Dood-Frank, and Sorbates-Oxley and even getting the Tenth Amendment in motion.

But I haven't heard him say a word about CUTTING GOVERNMENT SPENDING. Obama's multi-trillion-dalloar drunken Marxist-Keynesian poli-psycho spending binge has taken the U.S. to the brink. Gingrich, PLEASE EMPHASIZE LESS GOVERNMENT.

I still sense his desire to be more of an isolated-type country and not be as aware and active on the international scene when it comes to protecting our allies like Israel and doing all that we can. That is my hesitancy there still with Ron Paul's candidacy.

BINGO!

I just can’t feature Palin endorsing a man who is so wrong about Israel, not to mention the rest of his foreign policy views.

It’s absolutely great to see Palin supporting the Godfather of the Tea Party, Ron Paul.

The moslums are very afraid that Paul might win or that his idea of cutting all foreign aid might carry through. Once America cuts aid to Israel, it also cuts the leash that America has had on Israel’s military, one which it has used to rein in Israel again and again when they were on the brink of permanently destroying their enemies. With no more leash, Israel would be UNLEASHED and they could no longer afford to wait. Israel would crush Islam and free the Arab people from the 7th century prison they have been held in.

Go Ron Paul

Here are some of the massive spending cuts, tax cuts and plans for revitalizing the economy that Newt is proposing:

Neuter the Fed. Privatize social security and medicare and eventually phase them out and eliminate the payroll taxes. Return some 185 federal welfare programs to the states and the people where they can be controlled locally or shuttered. Break up and unwind freddie and fannie and return to free markets. Fire everyone at the FDA. Shutter the Education Dept and send control of education back to the states and people. Repeal ObamaCare. Repeal Dodd-Frank. Repeal Sarbanes-Oxley. Reform the federal bureaucracy drastically reducing government and regulations.

Implement an optional 15% individual flat tax after deductions and a 12.5% corporate tax with 100% 1st year expensing for new equipment. Eliminate the capital gains tax and the death tax.

Fully develop American energy!

She’s right. His plan to cut $1 trillion teh first year is something to look at. I’d do that with no reservations whatsoever.

The debt problem will never be solved. Start really cutting programs and we’ll see crime shoot up so bad we’ll all be living in war zones. What will happen is a total crash THEN the war will start.
