Does the thought of Mitt Romney, a devout Mormon and Mormon leader, becoming President scare you? After reading this testimonial of an ex-Mormon ((http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/richard_packham/why.html)), I am scared of Mitt Romney becoming President. Remember when Barack Obama was seeking the nomination in 2008, his 20 year attendance at Jerimiah Wright's church where radical preaching took place was glossed over by the American public and the press. I say we do not make the same mistake with Mitt Romney and his leadership role in the Mormon Church. In the GOP nominating process, let's explore Mitt's Mormon beliefs. Am I totally off base? Please read the link on the ex-Mormon above!
Are you withdrawing your 50,000 missionaries who are going around telling us that our 'religion' is apostate and of satan? Didn't think so.
You clearly separate us from mormonism - yet mormonism wants to corrupt our terminology and misrepresent themselves as Christian.
So then let me ask you, when your past leaders have said it was reveled to them there are Quaker like people on the moon, do you agree?
So then let me ask you when your leaders have taught/teach that you will get your own planet and become a god, do you agree?
So then let me ask which of the fourteen first visions do you beleive to be the truth?
Just wondering.
That message is simply that they are to inform Christians that their faith is false and the only way to salvation is through baptism and confirmation into the mormon sect.
Please inform us if you can what is NOT deceitful about this message?
This is a message that you yourself believe or you could not honestly hold a temple recommend, as shown in these questions that must be satisfactorily answered in order to be allowed into a mormon temple:
See question #7. The mormon church was founded on the premise that ALL Christian faiths are false and "abominable" and that "teaching and practice" has never changed.
Christian teachings, including the Trinity, and belief in only ONE God are the "teachings or practices that are contrary to or oppose those accepted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."
The simple message we bring to all Christians doesn't need to include a lot of mormon doctrine, but can be winnowed down to this: "52,000 mormon missionaries go out every single day with the message, million-dollar PR campaigns on TV, radio and the internet bombard people with the message, millions of books and pamphlets smear the Christian faith with the message that Salvation (what mormonism labels as exaltation) can only be acquired through becoming a "worthy" member of the mormon church.
So, Jeff is this "the message" that you taught in the MTC? Among the Inmans we number returned missionaries...RMs, is THIS the message you were taught at the MTC? This IS the message that Mitt Romney was taught.
Chrstianity is a “hellish heresy,” but no one seems concerned about a chrstian president.
I was not defending mormonism, which, like every other version of chrstianity in history, is a false religion. I said that I don't sit awake at night fretting that Utah is going to rule the world. If you do, that's your business.
The Seventh Day Adventists are scared to death that the Catholics are going to enact a "national Sunday law." I don't lose sleep over that one either.
Ok, whatever floats your boat or sinks it that is your choice.
Re: #7
If Romney is elected, then he would not be allowed to appoint an ex-Mormon or an evangelical who taught that Mormonism is false to any cabinet or advisory position within his administration. If he did, he could lose his “Temple Worthy” standing within the LDS Church.
Excellent.
Oh yeah, and you can certainly kiss my federal judiciary appointment goodbye.
Not that I would get it anyway, but being an Ex-Mormon would certainly disqualify me or any other ex-Mormon or Conservative Evangelical from consideration for such an appointment within a Romney Administration.
The shunning requirement clearly prohibits Romney from associating with ex-Mormons and all Christians who do not believe that Mormonism is Christian. And with Romney being a pro-abortion Mormon and most practicing Catholics and Evangelical Christians recognizing that Mormonism is a false religion, I would think that he will appoint either pro-Abortion Mormons (like Harry Reid) to judicial offices or he will appoint only Mormons, agnostics, atheists, lapsed Catholics and Unitarian type non-Catholics to the Judiciary.
Does anyone know whether or not Romney appointed any Conservative Bible-Believing Protestant or Practicing Catholic judges while he was governor of Massachusetts?
Or is that just a Rhetorical question?
This fact should be published far and wide..and often!
Ok, Mr. Romney... WHAT COVENANTS ARE THOSE???????
Jeff, you want to fill us in on what Covenants Romney might have promised in his temple endowment?
Is there a formal list that you can provide us with.
Did Romney's covenants contain any BLOOD OATHS?
Do you wear the garment both night and day as instructed in the endowment and in accordance with the covenant you made in the temple?
So does Romney wear Magic Underwear?
What is the meaning of those Masonic symbols on the underwear?
Jeff, you want to fill us in on that?
"Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans, has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters (75%) of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced, instead tapping registered Democrats or independents including two gay lawyers who have supported expanded same-sex rights.
Of the 36 people Romney named to be judges or clerk magistrates, 23 are either registered Democrats or unenrolled voters who have made multiple contributions to Democratic politicians or who voted in Democratic primaries, state and local records show. In all, he has nominated nine registered Republicans, 13 unenrolled voters, and 14 registered Democrats."
The spin in that link made me vomit.
You owe me a coffee grey. ;-)
Sorry ;0(
Andy, lying for the faith (MormonISM) is still lying. Perhaps you'd like to explain away for us the three quotes I offered to Jeff Head showing the blasphemy at the heart of this so called restored christianity? ... I didn't think so. Hard to repudiate such blasphemy isn't it, Normandy ... if you read the real God's Word.
If you read the real God’s Word, repudiating those blasphemies would become simple, Andy. But you have to really want the Truth for He will not be manipulated into supporting your founding peepstone ‘prophet’ given the list of blasphemies Joseph Smith taught the early Mormon followers.
the principle of religious liberty is a core belief from the very beginning.

Not in Mormonism it wasnt...
and isnt now
otherwise you wouldnt be sending 2 of 52,000 ignorant intolerant Mormon teenagers to my Christian door to tell me that Im in the wrong religion...
Wheres “the principle of religious liberty” in that ???
Now, reading the above paragraph, I would bet a chocolate milkshake that your mind immediately went to all the nice people who are Momrons in our present world, and all the charity the LDS inc organization offers freely to those in need. But you see, Andy, all those good works today are not the fruits of Joseph Smith. What we read of his teachings, those are the real fruits of Joseph Smith, and they scream 'FALSE PROPHET' because they contradict the Bible.
So, perhaps you would like to teach us how a poisonous, blasphemous origin from a proven false prophet is somehow 'restored Christianity.?
Correction: make that post #207 which I quoted for Jeff Head just a couple of blasphemies taught by the FALSE PROPHET, Joseph Smith.
But of course, it's all COMPLETELY voluntary. If you're a mormon who DOESN'T want their boy to be a missionary in Timbuktu, now missionaries are coming to YOUR door..."we're concerned about your walk with the Lord, brother..." etc. When they start visiting every day, and the other ward members are giving you queer looks, you know you've just become front page ward news and every fellow mormon's "special project" to bring you back into the right way of thinking.
Any farmer will tell you, if you raise white chickens and one of them has a mark or a wound that marks him to be in any way different from the others, one and all will peck you to death. The one difference is, mormons won't kill you.
Any more, that is. Google "mormon blood atonement"...how slitting your neighbor's throat helps your neighbor enter mormon heaven.
