And therein is the real meaning of that Bible passage so often misused by mormonISM apologist: 'for by their fruits you shall know them (the false prophets).' When we look at the fruits immediately taught by Joseph Smith, we know that he was a false prophet. See the three quotes in #181 I offered to Jef Head. Thaose are blasphemies, Andy, and they allow Christians to KNOW the source as a blasphemer not a Christian restorer.

Now, reading the above paragraph, I would bet a chocolate milkshake that your mind immediately went to all the nice people who are Momrons in our present world, and all the charity the LDS inc organization offers freely to those in need. But you see, Andy, all those good works today are not the fruits of Joseph Smith. What we read of his teachings, those are the real fruits of Joseph Smith, and they scream 'FALSE PROPHET' because they contradict the Bible.
