AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

“I’m not so sure that will happen. I can easily see grass roots voting the heck out of the bottom of the ticket to try and get back control of Congress and skipping the top two boxes.”

I hope so. That’s been my contention all along. Change comes when conservatives are elected to the the House and Senate. We’ve had 20 years of conservative talk radio, Fox News, etc. and all we got was Clinton, compassionate conservative Bush and now Obama. Our conservatives in the media have sold alot of books and stuff. We need to be working on the grassroots level to make real change.

I've come to the conclusion he's got an agenda.....and it ain't mine..

I concluded that Rush's agenda wasn't mine when he failed to discuss Obama's eligibility or vet the man in many important areas. I was done with Rush in 2008. That he is doing this to Newt, is mere confirmation that I was right in my first judgment.

Also....Since I don't listen to Rush, my bet was that on the Georgia eligibility court hearing this morning where Obama and his attorneys failed to show was.....CRICKETS!!!.....!!!

“When I turned on Rush he had started the second hour. From 5 minutes after the hour and for the next 10 minutes, he dredged up every negative thing he could about Newt in rapid-fire succession. It was a vicious and awful bill of particulars artfully wrapped up in a velvet glove.”

I don’t know how Rush can look in the mirror.

They’re all giving Romney a free pass.

So, where do conservatives go for news and perspective...now that Fox, Rush et al have sold out?

I was going to blog about this earlier and after I looked at what I had written, I decided to wait a day, after I calm down.

The liberals have won, Conservatism is dead, except for a few pockets like here on FR.

I started with Rush in his first week.

I’m done with Rush now.

... Rush’s contention that at the end of the day the party will coalesce around the nominee. I’m not so sure that will happen.

If the nominee is Romney, it will mean that the party has left me, and I won't be among those doing the coalescing!

“It’s definitely a coordinated attack, BUT I DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THESE THINGS!”

Does that mean Rush was part of the coordinated attack?

You know, Rush’s “I didn’t know about these Newt comments” doesn’t ring true. First I remember many of them. I just wouldn’t have been able to find or source them. But I do remember many. And if I recall, Rush even addressed some of them over the years. Again, I just don’t know where to source Rush’s comments on Newt’s comments through the years. So I don’t buy he was taken by surprise by the comments.

-—Does that mean Rush was part of the coordinated attack?-—

That’s my conclusion. It seemed obvious.
