She’s always been over-the-top and in-your-face. She’s gone out too far on a limb in her faith in Romney, but she still argues in the same way. She hasn’t really changed that much — not enough for people to go from loving her to hating her.
Annie is just a orphaned rino ....... If she backs this poser Romney then she has cashed in any validity with me.
Used to like her efforts. Now.... Not at all.
Sad she becomes just another presstitute at this stage of the conservatives battle to defeat rinos.
Ann has always had my respect. Some people’s trains jump the tracks from time to time. I believe this is one of them. Maybe she’ll return back on a track of lucidity.
I wish Tony Blankley was still around. He was Newt’s most brilliant and energetic defender. Tony Snow, Barbara Olsen, Tony Blankley... we’re losing our most logical and remarkable brains.
It is so over the top that I don’t think even she believes a word she says. This is all just performance theater for which she gets paid large sums of money. If not that, then she is plain nuts.
ann coulter have always been an elitist. She look down blue collar people
What exactly brought Ann Coulter into the mainstream GOP that she seems to find herself? Who was she? What has she done that is noteworthy?
I hate re-posting what I have posted on previous threads... but I truly think this is a better explanation:
“Folks, the “Ann Coulter” explanation is not that hard (IMHO). Ann is, according to rumor and careful dissection of her own writings and associations, most likely a “fag-hag.” For those unfamiliar with the phrase, it refers to a straight woman who hangs around with gay men. Now, in most cases, this is usually a product of a woman with “commitment” issues... and I think Ann obviously qualifies (it might also explain the rumored “relationship” with Matt Drudge).
Hanging around with gay or married men is attractive to women who have trouble with commitment because they still gain the attention of men (which they are genetically programmed to seek) without the danger of a long-term sexual or emotional relationship.
The problem with this is that it is impossible to remain neutral when it comes to a destructive lifestyle. Take, for example, a friend who might have a drinking problem. This person might be an otherwise wonderful human being, who just has a problem with his/her drinking. But, if you are around this person long enough, a decent and rational person has no choice but to notice the destructive nature of your friend’s behavior. You either then have to confront the friend, or change your own morality and values. If you choose to confront, you will most likely lose the friend. If not, then you will increasingly be dragged into more and more uncomfortable situations (for you), until you have to break off the relationship. Or, you can change your mind, and salvage your friendship (”Oh, that’s just the way he is. There’s nothing wrong with it... it’s him.”). This is why peer pressure is so powerful.
So let’s take a hypothetical. You have gay friends, and you are struggling with your moral doubts about their lifestyle. Then you get put in a situation where you have to either compromise your morals and go along to keep your friends (”Hey, Ann, go over there and tell that guy I think he’s cute.”), or take a stand and lose everything. The easier path is to just tell yourself that your friend is a good person (which he may be in every other respect), and that his behavior is just the way he is. And now you are a “live-and-let-live” gay rights supporter.
So, having come to her stealth morality change, who would Ann support? Not Santorum (for obvious reasons)! And Newt, as randy as his past life has been, is firmly hetero... with a social philosophy to match. But we all know Romney is just giving lip service to “conservative values” (so much so that your “friend” Drudge is fully on his bandwagon). Well, Romney it is...
Just my guess... but I’d be surprised if that wasn’t part of it... “
I think it is a cry for help.
Change-of-life has come to town.
I don’t agree with her on Romney. But I do agree with the “democrat” association. Newt Gingrich is Bill Clinton with an R behind his name. Hearing such a huge chunk of Freepers now pointing to the 90’s as evidence of Newt’s great accomplishments, when conservatives once railed against the abuses of the 90’s, pretty well highlights the direction things are headed on this site. Who knew the Clinton years would one day become so popular here?
Her previous books have been well reasoned. Very logical and researched and Conservative. Ever since she got entangled with the homosexual mafia she has changed. Maybe they are blackmailing her.
She is now irrational-—she adopted their non-logic that “sodomy is a right” and you have to force sodomy on children so it becomes normalized (like in Afghanistan/Samurai/Ancient greece)
Ya, Annie-—homosexual societies are all about child abuse. Pederasty is how they destroy the normal sexual identity formation in the boys. It is why all the pretty little Afghani boys can’t wait to grow up to sodomize their own harem of little boys.
Lesbianism is just a rejection of men-—and like Chas Bono—who was raped by a lesbian when she was 11, it is caused by childhood trauma and rejection by men (or rape)and confusion during sexual identity formation.
If you advocate “homosexual “rights”” you are advocating child abuse, since that is how the behavior is learned. The grooming and learning of these behaviors is really EVIL, ANNIE GIRL. You are backing Sanduskys and destroying the Constitution by taking it OFF of its very foundation: Natural Law Theory-—and Natural Rights from God-—not Satan, annie.
That filtered group has an orthodoxy of opinion and the Grassroots - who couldn't agree on whether the sky is blue by the way - suddenly don't seem so solid and common sense as they once did. Instead, they look kinda ordinary. Pundit loses track of their beginings and now is just one of many elites competing for the elite view of the Grassroots.
I think Ann's resisted this trend pretty well. I watched her at CPAC sign books for over two hours when she was scheduled for one. She was gracious and interested and cordial to every single person in that line. When Laura Ingraham came to the Freeper function in Las Vegas she couldn't have been more gracious. She was so down home you would have thought she was your daughter come home from college.
I think time and success have worn them down. The result is not pretty. I don't know anyone who has handled it better except for maybe Rush. But, there are plenty who hate him too.
Regards,
TS
For me she was losing it by the time of 9/11. When did she start dating Bill Maher?
We watched her for a few minutes when BOR had her on.
She has flipped and is going past Rino into beltway mediot pretending to be a conservative.
I think this may apply to Ann.
