Former Sen. Norm Coleman is advising Mitt Romney. He has also advised us not to get our hopes up about Obamacare repeal.
"You will not repeal the act in its entirety, but you will see major changes, particularly if there is a Republican president," Coleman told BioCentury This Week television in an interview that aired on Sunday. "You can't whole-cloth throw it out. But you can substantially change what's been done."

Right now, Willard and Newt are neck-and-neck in Florida, and too many people, after SC, are complacent about Florida. Please, wherever you are, do something for Newt, or give some money today.
Here is our battle plan that we are carrying out for the 3rd day in Florida. Please consider copying, editing, cutting, posting it, anywhere you think it might motivate people to do SOMETHING for newt NOW. It is very economical to carry out for those who do not have a lot of funds.
TEXT FOR POSTING EMAILS COM ETC:
The gingrich superpac came out with an anti-romney ad that is being called a game changer:
really good read: http://hotair.com/archives/2012/01/24/brutal-gingrich-super-pac-ad-meet-the-men-who-gave-us-obamacare/
Donations to Newt go straight to Newt2012 - he just finished a moneybomb and raised 2 million since Sunday morning after the SC win. That is here:

This is the link for Newts national phone banks, where people all over the country can call into FL; the SC phone banks were considered a huge success, and many South Carolinians said they were very impressed to hear from people all over the country who supported Newt. I feel sure the people here on FB _____ /fitb/ could help change a few minds in Florida. If you can, please try to make 10-20 calls per day. It is very simple. And please ask others. If you have relatives in Florida - and everybody does - contact them, also.

I am in Florida, we are doing these major things right now:
Knocking on doors with flyers we've done, and some campaign stuff from Newt 2012; the usual information.
We are doing a sticky-note campaign, with prices from Obamas inauguration day... for a loaf of bread, for example, then the price for today, and putting them on the grocery shelves where the products are located. We even got the prices for choc chip cookies! As well as gas pumps.
something like:
Loaf of Bread Obama Inauguration Day $____. Loaf of Bread today $____.
Had Enough? Newt Gingrich balanced the budget 4 times, created 11 million job, yada yada, whatever will fit on the sticky note.
Then
VOTE FOR NEWT. HE CAN FIX IT. www.newt.org
Here are links for prices today and January 2009:

We are also having Garage Sales for Newt because some of us are tapped out money wise right now... we have 24 families so far - and are having garage sales - one big one - several small - on Friday. Florida is obsessed with garage sales if you didnt know - with all the proceeds going to Newt. We are putting a really nice NewtPack together with some pretty stuff and informational stuff and call-for-a-ride-to-the-polls numbers, and handing those out at the garage sales... We are selling some baked goods, volunteer ladies in churches and grandmas are making for us, each with an N or Newt written on them... and we are giving away free fig newtons... which we are passing out to people- on silver trays - as they look at stuff to buy.
We are also making tee-shirts with Newt decorations done with permanent laundry marker, that can take 100 washes, so we dont have to buy them, because decorative tees can be very expensive. We bought 300 white tees from 2 Big Lots on Special, for only 100 dollars. We are wearing and giving away the tees, also. We have some very good artists.
We are having group meetings to make yard signs, and going to lumber yards for scrap wood, so all we have to do is get is the heavy duty coreboard, or whatever they call it. So far the lumber yards have been very generous.
It doesn't matter what state you are in, you can do all these things economically, if Newt will be in your state soon.
Today newt had 2 rallies in Florida - One in Sarasota was in an airport hanger - 3000 were expected over 4500 showed up... and another with 4000. Willards and Sanctimoniums rallies are getting crowds of hundreds.
I drove several vanloads to the Sarasota rally today - one load we had 14 people... nicely huddled though.
PLEASE DO WHATEVER YOU CAN FOR NEWT. IN FLORIDA NOW, AND IN YOUR STATE LATER.
It doesnt take money. It takes commitment and energy. There is no price tag for either of those, they are priceless.
Thank you very much for considering.
ObamaCare = RomneyCare. Romney still brags about RomneyCare today. He will not repeal it. Period.
What’s so bad about saying, “Let’s repeal it and start over. There was never the kind of broad, deep consensus that’s needed for such a fundamental shift in America’s current. And there IS a consensus that it should be repealed, even if a few popular bits may soon be re-enacted. We’re not throwing the baby out with the bathwater. We’re saving the baby from drowning.”
Instead we get this plea from Romney, ‘Please believe us! We WON’T REPEAL IT ENTIRELY! PLEASE LISTEN!”
No ‘nads.
The establishment and Romney which are the same will not do a damn ting to overturn obamacare, stop the homosexual agenda, etc.
Romney and their north east /beltway talking heads on talk radio and TV have lived far too long up in the beltway and the north east that they have forgot what core vavules the republican party stands for.
The establishment thinks that they can force their candidate onto us and we’ll just shut up and go along with what they say and put out.
Well no more for me or my wife, we’ve had it especially how the establishment went after Sarah and now Newt.
They see their power threatened and they are fighting like hell to stop us so they can cling onto their punditry on talk radio/TV, power and money.
Repeal ObamaCare? DADT? Get rid of the IRS?
Heck, will we even get to drill anwr and offshore under a Mittonian reign?
remember Norm was the 60th vote for cloture on an ambitious energy bill in 2005,, He voted No.
Gas is almost $4 a gallon and subject to steep increases as refineries break and re-formulate fuels.
Sorry Norm, No cigar.
If a Republican gets into the White House and does not sweat blood trying to repeal Obamacare in its entirety (regardless of success), I predict the end of the Republican Party legitimately. It wont be worth fighting for if the party itself does not think it worth fighting for its voters. If the GOP takes back the White House, its voters will expect a real fight, not a half-hearted attempt.(Emphasis mine.)
That awful picture, lol! Thanks for posting.
Norm - how can you lose your senate seat to Saturday Night Live’s “Brain Damage Guy”?
Not to mention losing an election to this guy.
I have been watching Romney respond to the Obamacare question at every debate and TV appearence, and the answer is always the same - he will give the states the right to excempt themselves from it. That’s a start, but it is NOT a repeal. I have never heard him say he would “repeal” it like all the other candidates said they would. Even on the Romney web site he avoids Health Care in the “Romney on the Issues” section.
Now I’m not crazy about Newt either, but when it come to who do I trust more to govern from the right, Newt or Romney, Newt has the clear edge.
Norm Coleman couldn’t whip himself out of a wet paper bag.
“Norm Coleman couldnt whip himself out of a wet paper bag.”
For the decades I’ve been involved in Minnesota politics, I’ve rarely seen a campaign as poorly run as Norm Coleman’s was.
The unofficial slogan seemed to be “Vote For Me! I’m Not Al Franken!”
His six years in the Senate were all but invisible. I rarely, if ever, had an idea of what he was doing in DC. That’s alarming because I could likely tell you what Senators like Coburn and DeMint were involved with - but not my own Senator.
It was shameful because electing an unfunny former comedian to the Senate only helped to reinforce Minnesota’s reputation as Buffoonville.
He is now, for that reason and this picture, known as $hit Romney.
Won't the next pubbie president need a pubbie majority in congress to repeal obamacare? Just askin’
Norm Coleman was A Democrat for 40+ years!!
Switched parties because the demons here did not
like some of his liberal/moderate mandates as st paul
mayor-

He is a Mitt Romney- at heart a democrat

Romneymania Sweeps America

“The raw energy and enthusiasm Mitt Romney stirs inside people is like nothing I’ve ever seen,” Youngstown, OH auto mechanic Chris Ritenour said Wednesday. “Everything he says resonates with Americans. His moving story of growing up privileged, his inspiring rise from moderate wealth to overwhelming riches, his thrilling work in the highest echelons of corporate financehe really speaks to the heart and mind of the common man.”
