Less than two weeks ago, Mitt Romney had a 22-point lead in Florida, but that’s ancient history in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. Following his big win in South Carolina on Saturday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich now is on top in Florida by nine.

I guess some conservatives are only against Balkanization and multiculturalism when it doesn’t involve their ethnic group.

Newt should start dropping the line in his speeches that “this is going to be a contest between Newton Leroy Gingrich and Barack Hussein Obama.”

Did it ever occur to you that a conservative could arrive at the conclusion that candidate B might be a better choice than candidate A for any number of reasons without being a “RINO”?

This childish hatred of “anyone who doesn’t endorse my candidate” is dragging this forum down.

At this point a vote for either Santorum or Paul is a throw away vote. Voting for either is splitting the vote against Romney making it harder to eliminate Romney from this race. If Newt had the votes of both Santorum and Paul Romney would be demoralized and head home. Even with just the Santorum votes Newt would embarrass Romney supporters enough to pull support.

If Mitt loses a couple more I think he’ll be demoralized enough and give up early just so he didn’t have to suffer through any more debates.

I have watched the various TV talking heads...They are all touting romney. Saying how bad it will be for the pubbies to have NEWT running for Prez.

The electorate from the get-go has not liked romney...so what did they expect?

GO NEWT, GO!!!

That is what I’m talking about. This is great news! We conservatives are not going to take it anymore. This is a warning shot over the bow that we are not going to listen to the MSM anymore and the Republican bigwig insiders that claim to be conservative like A Coulter, Noonan, Nikki, Parker, Kraugthhammer, who said that Newt candidacy was dead that he couldn’t win this guy that is being slammed by everyone is our champion. Our winner who is going to be president of this great Nation in Nov 2012!!!

I agree. If only the Santorum supporters would realize they are only hurting the chances of beating Romney we could probably have him out after Florida.

Wow, very bad move by Bolton. I’m very surprised. Looks like President Gingrich will have to purge the GOP and bring up a lot of new blood when he takes power.

Looks like Newt is now getting the Anti-Romney vote, Anti-Establishment vote, Anti-RINO vote, Anti-MSM vote, and the Anti-Everyone Else vote.

Glenn Beck is a Mormon...and that is why he is backing Mitt. He would have been okay with Huntsman too. It seems to me that there was a Mormon conspiracy going on there. I believe that Huntsman was a stalking horse for Romney. He just couldn't pull enough votes to be effective. Glenn is trying his best to use his high profile to help a fellow Mormon. He is only hurting himself.

About Calista. There is a write up about her on Newt.org. I was impressed after reading it. She is highly intelligent and a good match for Newt. She has done a lot in her own right. Read up about her.

No, I’m a conservative, and I voted for Santorum this morning. Hard to believe Newt has so much support here after all the RINOing we’ve put up with for so long. I’d choose him over Romney if they were the only two, but there is a conservative still standing. One who did not share a couch with Pelosi. One who does not hold his finger in the wind and support AGW BS if it serves him politically. One who hasn’t profitted big time from FANNIE and FREDDIE. That’s who I voted for. Flame away. Hell, try to get me ZOTTED, I dont’t give a flying $%^&t.

Huntsman is Rpmney’s cousin (IIrC through the grandpa in Mexico with five wives)
The vast Huntman’s family fortune is intertwined with Romney’s Bain.
(IMO Huntsman was a straw candidate in NH. Why did he run only in that state? How many delegates did he win that will go to Cuz at convention?)

Beck is now a mormon and involved with them all.

Hey, if you think this country is going to turn a 180 and be forced into conservatism of the ilk of Santorum go for it. Santorum has about 10% of the national population that believes he is the one for this time in history. With that 10% Newt would beat Romney by a wide margin. Without them who knows. Split the non Romney vote if you want but don’t expect a lot of love around here if things go south and Romney ends up the nominee.
