She lived with an abortion doctor when she was young and single, not while she was his wife. The Daily Mail ran the story yesterday. After they married, she turned her life around completely. I don’t see it as a problem.

In other related news, the SC delegate count won so far tonight according to MSLSDNBC:
Gingrich 17
Romeney 0

Perry 0
Santorum 0

But you/FR knew that this a.m.!
Now one year from today Newt gets sworn in!

I heard her, too. I am glad that she told us all exactly why Todd endorsed Newt. Seemed pretty clear to me with all the detail she gave about how she feels regarding him.

Agreed. The media tried hard to give Iowa to RINO Romney but failed. Newt is the real front runner.

Obama will have as few debates with Newt as possible.
Newt would open with this BC and college degree's. His first challenge would be to obama to show his too.

No, the Paulbots are not leftists as such. But a lot of leftists crossed over and voted for him in Iowa and New Hampshire. Then presumably they intend to vote for Obama in the general election.
Heck, a couple of young liberals here in Vermont told me that they had signed a petition for Rick Perry a few weeks ago. It’s not that they support him, but they wanted to muddy the water. Now, Perry’s out, of course.

In what way was it self-defeating?

WHY?.. Paul is saying some good things..
The US needs to get back to the Constitution!..
The Constitution was written down expressly to LIMIT the federal government.
NOT to enhance and spread its power..
You must be a democrat.. democrats hate the federal government being limited..

Current count - 61% counted
Newt 41%
Mitt 27%
Rick 18%
RonP 13%
This seems pretty stable now, and as far as I can tell from the SC Sec.State site, areas are reporting fairly evenly, so I would not expect any major swings from now to the end of the count.

Romney keeps repeating, 'let me be clear.' Sounds like a strangely familiar crutch phrase. Search on 'clear' and 'Scientology'.

Palin endorsed Nikki Haley for Governor while under contract with FOX.
Why is endorsing Gingrich different?

I watched Sara’s interview...she said if she lived in South Carolina she’d vote for Newt.
Pretty darn clear endorsement to me.

IMO, the help or hurt GOP Newt debate question will be resolved by Obama simply bypassing them or conceding to do only one. If the election hangs on debates only, Obama wins. The democrats chart their own course in elections and do not explain, justify, or accommodate their opposition. Of course Newt will clean Obama’s clock, as he would just about anybody’s, friend or foe. The message from this SC primary election that I got was that the Republicans have to be forceful in explaining the horrifics of the Obama take over of this Republic and their intended actions and solutions to get America back to a constitutional Republic. Reticence to appear boastful or too successful in life is detrimental to any of the candidates. I hope they all use their public exposure to encourage all Americans to love their American heritage and to be loyal to the country they were blessed to born citizens of.

Young and single women will tend to be more liberal, because they use the state as a substitute husband to protect them and provide for them.
But as they get older and married, they move to the right.

Congratulations to Newt Gingrich! I will be voting for him if he is our nominee. If it boils down to him and Romney in the primary, I will definitely vote for Newt.
Rick Santorum may or may not drop out. Time will tell. But, as an early and ardent supporter of Santorum, I would remind some of the supporters of Newt that your man cannot become President without the support of Rick's supporters. I think that some of his advocates might want to watch their comments. On one short thread this evening alone, among the first six comments:
he lacks the balls
a little boy standing on the sidelines watching the big fellows play
the little weasel
These are mild compared to some things that have been said. I'm glad that these comments about this good man are not characteristic of most of the supporters of Newt Gingrich. (Thank you to the vast majority of you who have been much more classy.) Every candidate, even Rick, has vermin among their supporters. I might just remind the Newt supporters not to alienate the supporters of Santorum. You will need them.
