No. Longer answer: (1) I question whether they already have a limited number of them anyway (2) I don’t think we have the economic ability or the political will to engage them right now. (3) I don’t see the economics or political situation changing in the next 4 years. Given 1, 2, and 3 I’m able to tolerate Ron Paul’s views on the subject.

Wow Grey, I'm impressed, usually Leftist plants don't last as long as you have. I was forwarded an e-mail from a friend of mine who worked for Ann Richards. The content is how the Left strongly believes that Gov. Perry will be the VP regardless of whether Mitt or Newt wins. He helps Newt with the evangelicals and he would help Mitt bring the Right out to the polls.
Personally, I believe they are wrong as Perry has said that the VP isn't worth a warm bucket of spit. However, the Left believes it and they are telling people to continue the attacks on Perry because he is even more damaging to Obama as a VP then as the Presidential candidate.

Well, that’s some of the best news I’ve heard in a long time. That’s genuine hope, and if your family jumps off the democrat plantation, even when the president is an African (no hyphen, because I don’t consider him to be an American), well that will be a real change.
It might help if the African descendents in this country were reminded that 0bama is most likely the descendent of slave TRADERS, not a descendent of slaves like most of the African descendents here.
However, I heard 0bama on the radio singing at one of his $35,000 per plate dinners, and the guests were swooning as if he were some great music star. I almost ralphed.

I’m just praying for they day they realize the Dems have kept them on the plantation too long. Black youth unemployment is just devastating.
What i don’t get is, I think the blacks I know in the Republican party have a fair amount of leverage, much more so than they do in the Democratic herd. If they really wanted to accomplish something politically, they’d be welcomed with open arms.

Thanks for saying that. I also had a lot of trepidation about the man before I reasoned my way through those things I disliked about him.
I still don't like his transgressions, but what I have to give him credit for, is the fact that he's taken the time to examine those positions, and has admitted that he erred. The man didn't double down and try to to con me that I never heard what I heard, like many other politicians would. That takes courage. More courage than anyone else I've seen in the race.
Did you see Grampa Dave's post upthread? He talked about how he felt nervous about Reagan in 1980, and how he was happy to have been so wrong about the man. I sincerely hope that if Gingrich becomes our president, that I can say the same of him someday.

Well, my only hope for my Democrat family members, is that they're able to witness how a true conservative patriot president helps to 'transform' this nation BACK to a place where it lives out the promise of the Framers.
Perhaps some of them will quietly join us, once the despicable Obama's treason to our Founding Ideals is silhouetted daily against the backdrop of rising employment, expanding wealth for all, heightened economic activity, a strengthening dollar, a falling national debt, dwindling illegal immigration, a return of respect for America among nations, real improvement to national security, and an honest return of real Hope, based on real Change.

Black conservative Republicans are still something of an enigma in American politics. The culture hasn't quite caught up to these pioneers, but when it does, you can expect a growing tide of blacks to escape the liberal mind control plantation.
I just saw a notice that Rep. Allen West is hosting a symposium about this very subject. Some of the leading black conservatives in the country will be speaking there. Wish I could go, but it's in DC, and I can't drop work to do it.
