Even though this is silly, any way to bring attention and heat on NYC for its crazy gun laws is a good thing.

It’s not silly at all. What goes around comes around

Good for Tennessee! And who said the South would never rise again?

“It’s illegal to carry the weapon in this state. “ - I’m fairly certain this is a false statement that the media just wishes were true. I believe that if you grease the correct palms or bust your ass to jump through all the hoops that NY does indeed issue concealed carry permits - any NYers want to confirm?

I think its a good idea. They should give them a $10,000 speeding ticket and two-months in jail for driving 5-10 mph over the speed limit. Screw Bloomberg!

Oh, there are much more effective forms of retaliation. For example, refuse to give “full faith and credit” to NY drivers licenses. What, that’s unconstitutional? Well, NY is failing to give “full faith and credit” to Tennessee concealed carry permits. I don’t see a difference, except that driving is not a Constitutionally protected RIGHT.

That said, this isn’t a bad start.

Tennessee Democrats tried some shenanigans against some Mississippi CCW permit holders and the Mississippi Troopers retaliated. When Tennesseans that had run into the mess here in Mississippi started calling their state representatives because of this, Tennessee Democrats changed their tunes and Tennessee recognizes the Mississippi CCW permits now. Maybe the Tennessee Democrats learned a lesson that they are turning on New York now. NYC is part of NY unfortunately.

The 2nd amendment gives this young lady the right to possess a gun.

Ridiculous legislative works supported in one region will have consequences when the inherent flaws are forced on those from outside. Most New Yorkers know to be dishonest enough to avoid having such rules enforced on them.

And your logic is flawed regarding drawing attention to crazy gun laws. Progressives and gun-grabbers will use this problem to demand more uniform and consistant gun laws, ie...more laws.

“Gun nuts”

Sad to see the NY Post talking about “gun nuts.” They used to be more sensible.

That said, Tennessee should arrest a hundred New Yorkers, charge them with felony obnoxiousness, threaten them with mandatory thousand-year sentences, then offer to trade them for the Tennessee woman.

FUNY.

FU leftards.

Note to TN: Be my guest, but don’t take it out on Upstate. NYC doesn’t speak for us.

A violation of the privileges and immunities clause of the U.S. Constitution if actually pursued legislatively.

One State cannot grant to its own citizens privileges and immunities not granted to the citizens of the other 49 States.

This would also cover a “New York City? Get a rope!” kind of law. (with a nod to Pace Pecante Sauce and their decades old advertising campaign)

This is silly. What kind of responsible gunowner checks their gun anywhere? We suspect this was a set-up, to drum up publicity for this woman.

So according to the NY Post and the article’s author, someone that supports and exercises their God given and Constitutionally protected rights is a “gun nut?”

A new kind of revolution? Once states begin to punish the residents of states that impose sanctions may just work. Those residents need to understand that not standing in opposition to what their legislators are doing may have consequences.

Amendment 14
“...No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States:”

Looks like a civil rights case to me.

Archy, isn’t there a law with severe penalties for infringing on civil rights under the color of law?
