One man is exploring a run for president of the United States of South Carolina, but didnt quite make the primary ballot.
The other man is on the ballot, but has suspended his campaign.
The two will join forces Friday when comedian Stephen Colbert and former Godfathers Pizza CEO Herman Cain hold a 1 p.m. rally at the College of Charleston, one day before the South Carolina primary.
Colbert, the Comedy Central host and Charleston native, previewed the rally Friday morning in an interview on MSNBCs Morning Joe.
Whats going to happen at the event, dubbed the Rock Me Like a Herman Cain South Cain-Olina Primary Rally?
Clapping and talking, Colbert said.
On Friday, he emphasized that Cain who suspended his campaign amid allegations of sexual harassment and a 13-year affair remains his top choice in the race, even though hes technically no longer a candidate.

Its sad to see Herman Cain slide to this depth. I was really hoping he was serious about disproving the allegations made against him, after which he might return to the national stage - maybe with a role in the new administration such as Sec. of Commerce.
Someone said he was only in this for self promotion ... how long before the book?

I heard about this yesterday and thought it must be a joke - Cain obviously has some mental problems or maybe he’s just a blubbering idiot to end up on stage with that jerk Colbert.

Cain is a fool. He does not know that Colbert is the
Honey Badger of the media. With weird ears. Which is why I can't watch Colbert. His funky ears. They scare me.

This is disconcerting to me as well, as I had the same hope you do. Why, oh why, is he aligning himself with this talentless hack?
Maybe he sees no point in disproving those lies (which, whether he does anything or not, I still will never believe unless he himself admits to it) since he isn’t running anymore. I don’t know. I’d hate to believe that he did just get into this race simply for himself.
Oh, well. Disappointed, I am but you live and learn and move on.

I don’t know what Heman is thinking, but whatever it is this is not a smart move.

He was concerned about his life time of faith and strong character and said he was going to work hard to repair his reputation.
I believed him.

Can you add any insight to this conversation that began in #2. I really wanted to see him stay in the fight.
I am asking because I thought I read something about you and Herman teaming up on early Tea Party events.

Hard to believe people took this clown seriously. Thanks, Herman. Riding on your train was my biggest political mistake since working for the McGovern campaign 40 years ago.
At least I got extra credit in civics class in '72.

Yes.
Some of us still have scorch marks from the attacks of the Cainiacs. They were vicious and were on a level of alinsky would be proud of.
The Cainiacs proved that scorched earth and politics of personal destruction are not reserved for just the Lefties.
