NEW YORK (AP) - An ABC News executive tells The Associated Press that the network has interviewed Newt Gingrich's second wife and is likely to air the segment Thursday on "Nightline."

Lying under oath about a blow job was the least important reason for going after President Clinton.

The Chinese money connection and the executive direction to stand-down security at Los Alamos, leaving it wide open to Chinese espionage was a far more important reason to impeach Clinton and remove him from office.

Sex scandals in politics are mere entertainment and distraction for the electorate. They provide a convenient rationale for removal of players when TPTB would rather not discuss their real reasons.

I would venture to say that most career politicians have unsavory sexual conduct in their past or present that can be used to control their public actions.

Newt’s history with ex-wives strikes me as something I wouldn’t want to have to try to defend or rationalize as a Newt supporter.

Back when Obama got elected I predicted that Obama would set race relations back 30 years being the first AA/black president because he is a socialist-liberal. And it’s true, blacks think we don’t like him only because we are racist, and racist whites say he is a failure only because he is black.

Well in Newt’s case having such a morally deficient Republican as the Republican symbol and the fighter against abortion and homosexuality (if that is what he really does) would make those counting on him look like such hypocrites that he not only would NOT convince one voter to change their positions on those but would probably flip many to the liberal side of both issues.
And I dont buy “Clinton did it first”

Romney of course cant be trusted on either issue

Ron Paul anti-abortion BUT he is pro-homosexual and for their new rights which I can’t accept.

Santorum is great on abortion but I don’t like his views of federal power, not sure where he really stands on homos, i suspect he is compassionate conservatism

Yes, she was and a co-religionist. I know LDS who do not support Romney, but I don’t see why someone who claims to be conservative would support him.

The fact that no one mentions that B. Hussein is gay is very telling. There is not one woman who has come forward to say that she was with him in the past.
My problem(?) is that if I were a politician, there could be dozens of women to say that they were with me in the past.

MrR thinks I have my tin foil hat on too tight. Perhaps, but why else would Paul not go after the ‘frontrunner’ and attack everyone else?

I had similar thoughts.

I seriously doubt Ron Paul will go third party this year but if Romney gets it I think Paul will suddenly say that it is proof how screwed up the Republicans are picking Romney and then he will promote himself and Rand as anti-establishment Republicans as different than Romney.
