Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband’s career with a single interview. Earlier this week, she sat before ABCNEWS cameras, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.She spoke to ABCNEWS reporter Brian Ross for two hours. Her explosive revelations are set to rock the campaign. But now a “civil war” has erupted inside of the network, an insider claims, on exactly when the confession will air!
Just a little more late intrigue for a race that’s already in flux from Newt’s post-debate surge, Palin’s quasi-endorsement, Santorum’s possible victory in Iowa (the official results will be announced tomorrow morning), Perry’s uncertain status vis-a-vis calls for him to drop out, and yet another debate tomorrow night. Drudge says the interview’s tentatively set to air Monday, after the vote in South Carolina, but reporters from Politico and the NYT are hearing it’ll air … tomorrow, presumably before the debate. I’m surprised his ex didn’t insist that it be broadcast ASAP. If she’s coming clean now after years of silence, just as he’s readying his last stand against Romney, she’s obviously doing it to try to take him out. If you were her, wouldn’t you want it to drop before the primary?
Actually, she hasn’t been completely silent. Go read the Esquire piece from 2010 that everyone will be murmuring about until this thing finally airs. Quote:

Here’s the most sensational bit, after she found out about Gingrich’s new mistress:

He asked her to just tolerate the affair, an offer she refused.
He’d just returned from Erie, Pennsylvania, where he’d given a speech full of high sentiments about compassion and family values.
The next night, they sat talking out on their back patio in Georgia. She said, “How do you give that speech and do what you’re doing?”
“It doesn’t matter what I do,” he answered. “People need to hear what I have to say. There’s no one else who can say what I can say. It doesn’t matter what I live.”
If her interview runs along those lines — Gingrichian egomania and hypocrisy but nothing criminal or lurid — I don’t know how much it’ll change things. You never know what information voters have and haven’t fully assimilated about a candidate, but Newt’s “values” problems have been public knowledge long enough that I take it they’re already mostly priced into his stock. He’s going to say she’s a disgruntled ex who’s making things up and, in any case, that he’s found redemption in his faith since the divorce. Unless she’s got a bombshell she’s ready to drop, how many voters thinking of voting for him at this point will really think twice?
Exit question: If the interview does air tomorrow, how hard will Santorum and Romney go after him at the debate over it? Santorum’s desperate to have social conservatives unite behind him, but this is an awfully messy attack to try with the, er, “Chevrolet” sitting in the audience in front of him.
Women were generally down on Newt already . This’ll really get them scurrying away in droves . He’ll be lucky if his own kids vote for him .
Marianne and ABC had both better hope that any and every accusation can be proved beyond a preponderance of the evidence; otherwise, they can both expect to be sued into the poor house. Newt can afford the kind of lawyers that you do not want coming after you for civil damages.

Willard Romney is a duplicitous jerk-off butt-dragging "free abortions for all" progressive, and I want a non-duplicitous jerk-off butt-dragging progressive candidate.
Her timing is interesting. One wonders if she is pulling the knife out of her boot to inflict the greatest hurt to her unfaithful husband at a point when she can wound him more deeply than any time in the past, or is she sincerely concerned for this country?
Uriah could have authored quite a hit piece on David, had he been up for re-election and things gone a little differently.
Sometimes God raises up leaders who are quite fallible but are called for a destiny- Samson, etc.

Aren’t you tired of the leftist media picking your candidates? That would be Romney in this case who is really toast in the general election and he should know it. People should be tired of being puppets to these clowns.

It will take more than a 20 year old “bombshell story” to take Newt out. This will be a weak attempt.

Whenever The Chosen One is looking like there might be a legitimate threat to his Ascendency, the smear-machine goes into over-drive, led by the State-Run-Media.
This pattern is soooooooooo predictable, you can smell it a mile away.
In fact, Palin alluded to this happening all the way to November, when the Dem's start their assault on whatever Candidate survives.

ABC is just as sleazy as their master Obama.
Side note: I have not lived a storied life filled with an angelic past; but I truly like who I am now at half a century of age and would not be the man I am, I feel, without doing the good and the bad I did in the past. I consider the skeletons in my closet to be my friends...ugly, hideous Helen Thomas type skeletons, but my friends.

When they stop trying to throw everything including the kitchen sink at anybody that even has the remotest chance of getting more than 2% on any election, including lies and innuendo with bo basis in fact or foundation, and then start reporting even 10% of what is out there in the lib side, then maybe they should be allowed to influence political discussion.

So who paid her? I want to know. Newt has been in politics for decades and she steps forward now. Come on she is a bitter ex wife as far as I am concerned I don’t care what she has to say.
