Full FBI investigation that was dropped due to Clinton Impeachment proceedings. Just before the FBI covered meeting of Newt and Marianne in “private” meeting with the dealer.
All of a sudden Newt was the recipient of large contracts and deals.
He was after all under scrutiny by the House “Ethics” committee.
Be careful in running cover for Newt. This may not be the woman scorned story so many on FR want to make it out to be.
If that was the story... It would be on GMA not relegated to niteline.
The war at ABC was whether to put it out before the SC primary. Maybe the compromise was nightline which has few viewers.
