How do we know this is a big deal? She once made some nasty remarks, and said she could destroy him in one interview.
Then again, ANY ex-wife could destroy ANY ex-husband’s political career with one interview.
For that matter, any CURRENT wife could destroy her husband’s political career with one interview!
After all the turmoil, litigation, press, etc. regarding Obama’s BC, if you honestly think that Santorum would run for President without being constitutionally qualified, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
Yikes, I said I wasn’t going to dignify your pablum, but I did anyway. Doh!
Opposition Dossier on Romney Hits Internet
Romney Sat On Board Of Damon Clinical Laboratories, A Bain Capital Portfolio Company Fined Nearly$120 Million In 1996 Due To Medicare Fraud.
"I see the A-holes at ABC ginning up a non story or something that most people already know about so that they can lay a cloud of doubt over Newt at a time when he could beat Mittens in SC. They will hold the story until Monday and then when it comes out, it will have already caused its damage."
Yep. And they're acting all sanctimonious here, as if they are making a serious choice according to "journalistic ethical standards".
Yes but they were still married in 1995 when she said she’d do this if he ran.
He’s been pretty equal to all the candidates- both good and bad.
Thanks for the heads up! :-)
Gee, I wonder if Newt's adulterous affair had anything to do with that request?
Maybe it's a big nothing, and by "teasing" the voters, they can pump up Romney.
What's the point in holding it if it's real dirt? Even if Newt won SC and the story turned out to be horrible, Romney would just steamroll him the rest of the way
...on the other hand, if Newt drops too now, Gingrich's followers would go 98% to Santorum, and with Perry faltering.......
Hmmmm....
All of this is the danger of Newt winning the GOP nomination. By Labor Day Newt would have the tabloids, Obama will have the Rose Garden.
Gingrich spells electoral disaster.
After having the entire R establishment, media, courts, so-called “conservative” media, etc tell us that it’s nobody’s stinking business whether he is or isn’t qualified, why should he even care whether he was qualified? The official party and judicial line is that it’s nobody’s business. He just watched a guy get away with 2 bad forgeries while even the pubbies mocked those of us who had a problem with it.
I don’t trust any of these critters. Not any more. They’ve already told me that they don’t care about the rule of law and that they will mock me if I care.
From now on, I don’t trust anybody who refuses to verify what they claim. If that’s too much for Santorum to do then screw him. The R’s choosing a candidate without making sure he’s eligible is the ONLY way I would either sit out the election or vote third-party or write-in. Deal with it.
She has severe “unresolved anger issues.”
Sounds like she was always in competition with Newt, so he eventually dumped her.
No. Santorum is a priggish establishment statist. His wraps himself in "family values" to cover his love of government expansion like Medicare Part D, disdain or the 10th amendment, indefensible support of Democrat turncoat Arlen Spector over conservative Pat Toomey and his embrace of neocon interventionist foreign policy.
Rick Santorum is the worst of W without the charm, none of the executive experience and a law degree as well.
This ancient history "baggage" rap on Newt is the height of hypocrisy but I have come to expect it from from the so-called "forgiving" evangelical community. Maybe Newt's real "sin" is that he left the Southern Baptists for Catholicism when he sorted out his personal life.
Your moral high horse friends want a life of pristine personal morality in a president? How's Obama working out for them? I suggest they review their Bibles for the flawed men God chose and used to political (and sometimes spiritual) leaders.
This hit piece is timed to make sure he doesn't win South Carolina on Saturday.
