Opinions of the Mormon Church aside, why is this a big deal? If I made the money Romney has made in hos lifetime, I would have given millions to my Church. I am glad to see he is generous with his giving.

This is not something I'd hold against him. It actually kind of makes him look good unless you really hate Mormons which I don't.

Just the same the only debate I'm having with myself about Romney is who do I vote for last -- him or Paul.

Right now I'm leaning towards Mitt although Paul saying crazy things about the raid on Bin Laden certainly gives me pause.

I wondered when this would come out. The majority of the capital that Romney handles could very well be from subsidiaries of the Corporation of the LDS Church. Billions in holdings - Mitt definitely was born with the LDS silver-spoon-of-future-godhood placed firmly in his cheeks.

This is hardly a negative on Romney, whom I would like to see drop out of the race. If he gives 10% to his church, good for him. The fact that I think it is a strange religion that borders on a cult is beside the point.

Many. many high earners give well above 10%, unless they are Democrats, of course.

Good for Romney - not sure why this would be perceived as a negative. As a Catholic, many find it bizarre that we “eat” the body and “drink” the blood of Christ during Communion.

I’m more concerned about people’s conduct rather than their faith. We can all critique Romney for his past political positions, but Mormons are some of the most decent people I have ever met.
