Take the Scarlett O'Hara pledge.
If Republicans would rather have an extreme liberal over a soft Republican, then they IMO give up their right to bitch and moan. Is Romney my top pick? No. I personally like the sound of a Santorum/Gingrich ticket. This does not mean I will lose motivation to get Obama out of office if Romney gets the nod. My goal, as it should be with all republicans, is to replace Obama. Any of the field is more acutely fitted to fill the job of President than Obama, even the weakest among them.
I will vote against Obama. It is the only rational thing to do.
To criticize Eisenhower is idiocy, and the hatred of Nixon as a liberal IMHO is by people who weren’t there or seriously missed something. Nixon was the last true fighter the republican party had.
But since you listed every republican president but Reagan, I guess we should have had Presidents Dukakis, Mondale, Gore, Kerry.
No more Obama. Period.
If Romney is the nominee, I WILL vote for him over Obama.
I am so angry. Angry that within two years of the vast retaking of the house with conservatives, we are right back to having to choose the lesser of two evils.
What the hell happened?
How the hell are we even stuck with the prospect of Mitt Romney?
He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and there is a part of me that says, if not voting for him means Obama then so be it.
I will stand for my convictions and vote with my conscience and that means, no vote for a pro choice candidate. Period.
I will just make one point about your statement. That Romney will wait until his second term to do what he really wants.
Why do you assume he “really wants” to do anything?
I’m not completely cynical but obviously he was liberal in Mass. because that’s what got him elected. I know Newt displayed some of the same elasticity during the past few years.
I’d say there are only two true blue candidates on that stage - Santorum and Paul. Perry seems very sincere but he hails from Texas. Santorum lost reelection rather than go moderate.

Why not put effort into changing the idiotic open primary rules which allow Demons to vote in our primaries? That's what stuck us with McCain, and will allow Romney to win NH.
Our problem as a nation is out of control spending, not Obama. Electing Romney isn’t going to solve the problem. This nation is doomed if we don’t elect a president who’s willing to make SERIOUS cuts in programs and services.
So NO, I won’t vote for Romney under any circumstances. But he isn’t the only one I won’t vote for.
This is the two reasons to vote romney, gringrich, or whoever over obama
Kagan and Sotomayor
I am not a Republican in name only; I will crawl over broken glass to vote for the GOP nominee in November 2012. Seems to me anyone who won’t is the REAL definition of a RINO.
I am both a big R and little r Republican. I despise big D and little d Democracy, because it is tyranny and antithetical to freedom. Candidates who are capable of enacting moderate conservative legislation, even if it moves the conservative needle only one tick to the right, are preferable to pointless conservative ideological blather that, while defensible, have no chance of being enacted - because at the end of the day the needle doesn’t move to the right. The defeat of Obama by any GOP candidate will result in a GOP Congress in 2012, and that will be infinitely preferable to an Obama re-election.
I can’t believe this conversation is even ongoing.
“... no vote for a pro choice candidate. Period.”
There is the little detail we fudge: Romney is NOT a pro choice candidate.
He is a candidate and his position as a candidate is pro life. Have heard him say it and defend it numerous times. It is very hard to picture him doing anything pro choice as president.
Was he pro choice in Mass.? Yep. But that is not his position now and that is a fact. Do I think he really cares? Who knows.
I WILL VOTE FOR SPOT THE DOG AS LONG AS THERE IS AN R BESIDE HIS NAME ON THE BALLOT.
ANYONE THAT SITS THIS ELECTION OUT IS JUST A PLAIN FOOL, AND WILL HAVE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS.
Until then, support the candidate of your choice.
Pledges to never vote for any one of the Republicans in the general election are counterproductive.
I will vote for the NOT Obama candidate.
Chris Rock can’t wait for Obama’s second term because then “he can do some gangsta $hit”.
Is that what you want?
You're right...why do certain states allow the Democrats to have a say in selecting Republican candidates?
supreme court nominations...fool
Sorry Champ
if Mitt is the nominee I will vote for him in the general.
For all the foolish (idiotic) Anyone but Obama robots out there, realize one thing: Mitt would do absolutely NOTHING to turn our Republic towards Liberty.
Mitt would just be a placeholder until the next Marxist takes power.
