Can someone tell me why Glenn Beck has such digust for Newt Gingrich, without mentionning his conservative credentials on Israel and Balanced budgets? Glenn said on GBTV last night that he leaves political expertise to Rush Limbaugh. However, he does not mention that Rush is usually positive on Newt's conservative background. The vitrol toward Newt Gingrich from Glenn and his GBTV panelists seems to be unreasonable and coordinated. Any explanations would be appreciated.
Don’t worry, he will evenutally come out for Mitt. Right now he is playing concern troll (or false neutrality) to make it look like he is impartial. Idenity politics with the Mormons is VERY VERY strong and feigning neutrality is a common tactic to get info and bump up the LDS church/teachings.
We have even had several LDS on here claim not to be LDS here on FR and then it came out later that they were.
Medved’s also a non-Conservative.
You don’t have to scratch him very deeply to find “Big-Government Thug”.
Beck has pushed Romney, he learned though, to keep his support subtle and concealed, like other Mitt supporters he does it by attacking strong opposition to Mitt, and advancing weak opposition to him as cover.
After dismissing Palin in one sentence, and then dismissing other possibles, Beck said this.
“I have to tell you that Mitt Romney could be the only guy that could win, and I don’t know if he could because I think that Americans are going to be I mean, this country is going to be in deep trouble by 2012, and the next term, if it’s not decided this term, the next term will decide our fate. Then I hope that Americans are ready for an adult and are ready for hard news.”

No GB is a Mormon, Romney is a Mormon, Newt isn’t a Mormon.

He’s never been a fan of Romney. You may be right, only because he will probably support anybody but Obama.
I will say one thing, this election cycle has brought out the true weird character of many I thought I knew something about. Some thought to be true conservatives have proven to be anything but and are in truth petty, vindictive, slimy little creatures.

OK, using your logic, the only reason you don't like Beck and Romney is because they are Mormons. You are making yourself out to be as bigoted as you are inferring Beck is. One in the same. You two could be pals. Think about it.

A few weeks ago he stated that Romney of all the candidates had the best chance of winning, but that he did not support Romney, nononononononononono! But that he was better than Obama and had the best chance of winning. At the time I think he said he preferred Bachmann of the candidates running.
This AM he stated unequivocally that Newt is every bit as dangerous as Obama. You may assess that however you wish. I found it an inane comment.

You Mormon haters need to lighten up a little bit. Yes, Beck is Mormon. His wife and he became Mormons together.
Do I think Newt Gingrich the serial adulterer is a Catholic of convenience? To coin a phrase by someone I greatly respect, “you betcha!”
In this election cycle Beck has never said anything good about Mitt Romney. I don’t know who it is you are confusing him with but you are wrong. Mitt Romney is hated by Beck and Beck makes that very clear frequently.
Beck liked Bachmann in this race and speaks favorably about Rick Santorum. So far the Mormon guy, Beck and I see eye to eye on that.
Disclaimer, I have subscribed to Becks TV show. I only see it once or twice a month, just don’t have the time, but his shows so far that I have watched have been entertaining and informative. I don’t hate someone just because they are Mormon or associate with them. I don’t assume that Mormons will irrationally support other Mormons in politics. Beck is strange, I’ll give you that but we should all be as conservative and informed as him.

I put Beck in the same intellectual category as Newt, or Ron Paul. Political idiot-savants. When they are right, they are very very right, and when they are wrong, they are off the charts wrong.
And we haven’t had a budget since the Bush Administration...
