When my husband, Carl, pursued a relationship with me while we were dating, he was serious about it. He called. He wrote notes. He asked thoughtful questions. He bought me flowers, candy, books, dinner, and other gifts. He spent a lot of time and effort in his pursuit of me.
Way back in the 10th century bc, Solomon recommended that kind of serious commitment when pursuing something elsewisdom. A dictionary definition of wisdom, understanding what is true, right, or lasting, sounds crucial if we want a life that glorifies our holy God.
Maybe thats why Solomon used so many active verbs in Proverbs 2 to describe our needed efforts to gain wisdom. He said, incline your ear, apply your heart, cry out, lift up your voice, seek her, search for her (vv.2-4).
Seeking wisdom takes effort, and Scripture tells us where it can be found: For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He isnt storing up wisdom for Himself; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright (vv.6-7).
Seek God with all your heart. He is the source of all wisdom for your life.
Interesting Road Trip, thank you!
Happy New Year to you!
Good evening, (((Lauren)))
Good to see you and thanks for the great road trip! We need a REAL one! I’m ready for a vacation! LOL
Hola, Ms. Lauren!
D-M is a great place to visit with a couple of good aerospace museums. We also have the boneyard here with literally thousands of aircraft in various stages of preservation and/or regeneration.
On the flip side, D-M was also the site of the destruction of a lot of our nuclear-capable heavy bombers as a result of treaties with the old Soviet Union. Most of the aircraft they destroyed had their wings sheared off by massive guillotine-like blades.
Great AFB!! My dad worked on the A-10 flight test program for Fairchild Republic at Edwards AFB in CA and was sent TDY to Davis-Mothan in 1976 for about a year. I followed my dad into the aviation business and worked on a B-1B modification for Boeing about 3 yrs. ago. I love Tucson and Davis-Mothan. Never served in the military but have been privileged to work on many of our defense Aviation program. God Bless the USA and our wonderful MILITARY!!
Thanks, unique, for the road trippers!

That’s near my home!!! — WAA - HOOO!!!!!!
My family Ancestral town and the place of my birth!! I was born at the D-M hospital! WOOHOO! I wish the nutcases in Tucson City Government prized this great treasure! All they have done over the past 35 years is bitch about the base being there!
Spent some time down in that area a few years back. Love the desert southwest. Been to Pima A&S Museum, hiked Saguaro Natl. Park and Tucson Mt. Park extensively, drove up Mt. Lemmon, went up Kitt Peak... Lots of fond memories. Dang, going to have to head back there next chance I get. Thanks for the post!
Good Evening to The Canteen.
Always enjoy these visits to our military bases.
I was born and raised in Spokane and we had two Air Force bases just west of town... Fairchild Air Force Base and Gieger Field. When I was a pup, we also had an Army Base, Ft Wright. Ft. Wright became a community college campus in later years and Geiger Field became the Spokane Airport (GEG). I think the Air National Guard still utilizes Gieger Field. Fairchild once was home to B-52’s but is now a KC-135 base.
With all the Army and Air Force bases, I still joined the US Navy and my twin brother joined the US Marine Corps.
Thanks for the tour.
Good morning, Everyone.
